State-Owned Enterprise Office Chair Standards

Admin October 16, 2026

The standards for office chairs in state-owned enterprises should be comprehensively determined based on the leadership hierarchy and the actual situation of the enterprise, specifically divided into three dimensions: principal and deputy leaders, other leaders, and general requirements.

Office Chair Standards for Principal and Deputy Leaders:
The seat material should be high-resilience foam, high-quality breathable leather, or mesh fabric to ensure support and breathability. The design should conform to ergonomic principles, supporting adjustments in height, tilt angle, and armrest position to accommodate different usage habits. Some standards explicitly require full and resilient padding, with some enterprises opting for high-quality leather or fabric to enhance comfort. In terms of pricing, the combined cost of office desks and chairs for principal and deputy leaders typically does not exceed 8,000 yuan. If a three-seater sofa is involved, its pricing standard should align with the overall budget, reflecting the need to balance functionality and cost control in seating arrangements.

Office Chair Standards for Other Leaders:
The seat material primarily consists of regular foam, faux leather, or fabric, focusing on practicality and daily office needs. Some standards specify that the accompanying seats for three-seater sofas should use regular fabric, with pricing standards not exceeding a certain limit. The combined cost of office desks and chairs typically does not exceed 5,000 yuan. These standards meet basic usage functions while reflecting hierarchical differences through material and pricing variations.

General Requirements:
All office chairs should use breathable and wear-resistant fabrics to ensure comfort during prolonged use. In terms of material safety, they must comply with national environmental standards (such as GB 18584-2001), with็”ฒ้†› (formaldehyde) emissions meeting standards, rounded edges to prevent scratches, and stable installation structures to prevent tipping. It is encouraged to purchase products with the 'China Environmental Label' certification to ensure material safety from the source. Additionally, some enterprises may require chairs to pass durability tests to ensure they do not deform or collapse over long-term use.

It should be noted that specific standards may vary depending on enterprise size, industry characteristics, or local policies, and adjustments should be made based on actual conditions during implementation. For example, financial state-owned enterprises may prioritize material quality, while manufacturing state-owned enterprises may prefer durable mesh fabric chairs. During the procurement process, it is recommended to rely on written standards while balancing cost control and employee health needs.
