Staff Office Chair Production

Admin October 14, 2026

The production process of staff office chairs mainly includes three core steps: metal frame fabrication, leather and foam processing, and assembly.

Metal frame fabrication is the foundational step in production. First, steel tubes are bent into the shape of the bottom cushion frame, and steel bars are welded in the middle to install the mechanical device for adjusting the seat. Subsequently, steel springs are hung to form the seat suspension net, and metal rods are clamped onto the springs to enhance the stability and support of the seat. Next, the backrest frame of the seat, including lumbar support, armrest sections, and other accessories, is welded according to the design drawings to ensure the frame structure meets ergonomic requirements. In this step, the choice of frame material is crucial, with common options including nylon-metal frames, steel frames, and wooden frames, each affecting the seat's load-bearing capacity and service life.

Leather and foam processing directly impacts the comfort and appearance of the seat. The leather is laid flat on a cutting table and cut into the required patterns for the seat along the template. The foam is then trimmed according to the shape of the leather, with different densities of foam used in different areas: harder foam is used for the cushion to maintain its shape, while softer foam is chosen for the backrest to enhance comfort. Subsequently, the leather and foam are sewn together, and pleats are pinched at specific positions to create decorative thread patterns. In this step, the sewing process must be precise to ensure the leather and foam are tightly combined, preventing loosening or deformation during use.

Assembly is the final step in production. First, a layer of cardboard is added to the backrest frame, followed by a layer of foam, and finally wrapped with a leather cover to form a comfortable backrest. Next, a sliding plate assembly is installed to allow the seat to be adjusted forward and backward to meet different usage needs. Then, a hydraulic cylinder is installed to enable height adjustment and 360-degree rotation of the seat, and the hydraulic cylinder is connected to an aluminum base with casters inserted to ensure smooth movement of the seat. Finally, a headrest and armrests are installed on the backrest to further enhance the comfort and practicality of the seat. After assembly, strict quality inspections are conducted to ensure all functions of the seat are normal and there are no safety hazards.
