Solid Wood Office Chair Wheels
Admin October 09, 2026
There are multiple types of solid wood office chair wheels to choose from, each with different characteristics, allowing you to select according to actual needs.

Classification by Material and Function
- 2-inch nylon universal wheels for office chairs: These wheels are relatively common. Nylon material has good wear resistance and toughness. Their outstanding feature is the mute function. During chair movement, they do not produce significant noise, making them suitable for use in quiet environments such as offices and studies, without disturbing others' work or study.
- Silent TPE universal wheels with brakes: TPE material is soft and elastic, with excellent mute effects. The brake design increases convenience and safety during use. When you need to fix the chair's position, simply step on the brake device, and the chair will not move randomly, facilitating work that requires a stable sitting posture, such as writing or drawing.
Classification by Special Design
- Gravity self-locking universal wheels with brakes: These are suitable for various types of furniture, including solid wood office chairs. Their unique feature is the gravity self-locking function. When the chair is subjected to a certain amount of gravity, the wheels automatically lock, increasing the resistance to chair movement, making the chair more stable, and reducing the risk of accidental sliding. At the same time, they also have a brake function, allowing manual control of the chair's movement and fixation as needed.
- Load-bearing PP universal wheels with brakes: PP material has high strength and hardness, capable of bearing significant weight, making them suitable for placing heavy items or for use by individuals with a larger body weight. The brake design makes it more convenient to fix the chair when needed, ensuring safety during use.
Classification for Solving Specific Problems
- 60mm diameter wheels with mute sleeves and soft PU wrapping: If the chair is too slippery, these wheels are a good choice. The soft PU wrapping not only increases the friction between the wheels and the ground, reducing sliding, but also has good mute effects. They have a locking function. To lock the chair, simply press down the locking device; to move it, lift it up to unlock, making operation simple and convenient.
- Gravity wheels: After being subjected to gravity, the resistance on both sides of the wheels increases, making movement more strenuous but also quieter. These wheels are suitable for use in situations where you need to control the chair's movement speed and reduce noise, such as in libraries or meeting rooms.
