Smart Office Chair Switch

Admin October 16, 2026

The switch and adjustment functions of smart office chairs vary depending on the model and brand design, but typically include the following core operating methods:

1. Basic physical switches and adjustments
For some models, the switches are integrated at the bottom or side of the seat, and basic functions are achieved through physical buttons. For example, the Sihoo H300 requires a long press on the switch at the bottom of the seat to open the battery compartment for initial setup. Common button types include:

  • Knob-type: Used to adjust the height of the gas lift rod, controlling the seat's up and down movement by rotation;
  • Paddle-type: Controls the angle of the backrest, allowing easy switching between reclining and upright positions with a light flick;
  • Touch-sensitive: Switches between preset modes (such as office and nap scenarios), and some models support force-sensing operations.

2. App intelligent control
High-end models (such as the Sihoo H30 and M1) support fine-tuning through the brand's exclusive app (such as the "Sihoo Smart App"). Users can complete the following operations via their mobile phones:

  • Body shape adaptation: Enter data such as height and weight to automatically adjust the lumbar support position and armrest height to the optimal support state;
  • Scene modes: Preset modes for office, meetings, and rest, allowing one-click switching of parameters such as backrest angle and reclining resistance;
  • Synchronous adjustment: Some models (such as the M1) support the linkage between the armrests and the backrest, maintaining a consistent angle between the arms and the back.

3. Function combination keys and reset
Hidden functions are triggered through combination keys. For example:

  • Reset settings: Press and hold the height adjustment key and the backrest adjustment key simultaneously for 5 seconds to restore factory parameters (suitable for scenarios where functions are malfunctioning or users are changed);
  • Emergency lock: Some models have a hidden switch at the bottom of the backrest, and a long press can forcibly lock the reclining function.

4. Reclining and locking mechanisms
The reclining function is usually controlled by a lever, knob, or pull rod on the right side of the seat (ๅฐ‘ๆ•ฐ on the left).

  • Unlocking: Pull the lever or rotate the knob to the "unlock" position;
  • Adjustment: Lean back slowly to a comfortable angle, and release the handle to lock it;
  • App assistance: Some smart models support presetting the upper limit of the reclining angle through the app to avoid excessive reclining.

Maintenance and safety tips

  • Electronic troubleshooting: If the buttons do not work, first check if the charging port is properly connected;
  • Safe operation: Avoid sudden exertion when reclining to prevent the gas lift rod from losing control due to impact;
  • Model differences: The switch positions and logic may vary among different brands (such as Ergonor and Herman Miller). It is recommended to refer to the product manual or the label at the bottom for accurate guidance.
