Simple Fixed Office Chair Installation Guide
Admin October 11, 2026
The installation of a simple fixed office chair can follow the steps below, but note that there may be differences among different brands and models, so refer to the product manual for specific instructions:

I. Pre-installation Preparation
- Check Components: After opening the package, verify that all components are present, including the seat, backrest, five-star base, casters (if it is a fixed chair, there will be none), screws, wrenches, and other tools.
- Read the Manual: Prioritize referring to the installation guide included with the product to understand the names of each component and the installation sequence, avoiding rework due to incorrect operation.
II. Core Installation Steps
- Assemble the Five-Star Base and Casters (Skip for Fixed Chairs):
- For office chairs with casters, insert the casters into the slots of the five-star base, ensuring that the clips are fully engaged to prevent loosening.
- For fixed chairs, use the five-star base directly as the foundation without installing casters.
- Install the Gas Lift (if equipped):
- Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring that the bottom is fully in contact and secured.
- The top of the gas lift should align with the mounting hole on the bottom of the seat, preparing for the next step.
- Secure the Seat and Backrest:
- Invert the seat and, according to the screw hole positions marked in the manual, connect the backrest to the seat using screws.
- Key Operation: Some backrests may require slightly bending relevant parts (such as adjustment levers or clips) to align with the screw holes. Maintain even pressure during installation to avoid stripping the screws.
- Use a wrench to tighten the screws, ensuring that the backrest and seat are firmly connected without wobbling.
- Connect the Seat to the Five-Star Base:
- Align the assembled seat (with backrest) with the top of the gas lift and press down vertically until fully engaged.
- For fixed chairs, you may need to secure the seat directly to the five-star base using screws, following the indicated arrow sequence to tighten them.
III. Inspection and Adjustment
- Check Stability: Sit on the chair and gently shake it to confirm that there are no loose connections or unusual noises.
- Adjust Functions (if applicable): Test functions such as backrest tilt and height adjustment to ensure they work properly, adjusting them to a comfortable position as needed.
IV. Precautions
- Avoid using excessive force during installation, especially on plastic components, to prevent breakage.
- When installing screws, follow the principle of โalign first, then tightenโ. Some screws may need to be tightened in stages (e.g., tighten halfway first, then fully tighten).
- If you encounter issues such as clips that won't engage or misaligned screw holes, stop installation immediately and check whether the components are damaged or the models don't match.
