Siesta Office Chair Installation

Admin October 22, 2026

The installation steps for the siesta office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Tray and Seat Cushion
Use the shortest screws to fix the tray to the bottom of the seat cushion, ensuring that the holes in the tray align with the gas rod before inserting it. Pay attention to matching the screw specifications in this step to avoid unstable installation due to screws that are too long or too short. The tray, as the core component connecting the seat cushion and the gas rod, directly affects subsequent operations with its positional accuracy.

Step 2: Install the Armrests and Decorative Strips
Fix the armrests on both sides of the seat cushion using the thickest screws. After installation, snap in the decorative strips to cover the screw holes and enhance aesthetics. Ensure that the armrests are symmetrically installed to avoid discomfort due to positional deviations. The decorative strips should be snapped in completely to prevent loosening or detachment.

Step 3: Assemble the Chair Base and Gas Rod
First, install the casters one by one onto the five legs of the chair base, ensuring that each caster is securely latched. After assembling the chair base, vertically insert the gas rod into the center hole of the chair base, keeping the gas rod perpendicular to the ground. The gas rod is a key component for adjusting the seat height, so avoid tilting or misalignment during installation, as this may affect the lifting function.

Step 4: Secure the Chassis and Seat
Use screws to fix the chassis to the bottom of the seat, ensuring that the screws are tightened and the chassis is fully in contact with the seat. The chassis, as a transitional component connecting the seat and the gas rod, directly affects the overall structure of the seat. Check that all screws are tightened during installation to avoid seat wobbling due to looseness.

Step 5: Connect the Backrest and Base
Connect the backrest and the seat using the preset latches or screws, ensuring a tight and seamless connection. After installing the backrest, vertically insert the entire seat assembly into the top of the gas rod, keeping the gas rod aligned with the center of the seat. Press firmly in this step to ensure that the seat and the gas rod are fully engaged, preventing detachment during use.

Step 6: Insert the Casters and Five-Star Base
If the chair base is a five-star design, forcefully insert the five casters into the ends of the five legs of the five-star base. Listen for a 'click' sound when inserting the casters, indicating that the latches are fully locked. After insertion, check that the casters rotate smoothly to avoid affecting mobility due to jamming.

Step 7: Install the Headrest (Optional)
If the seat is equipped with a headrest, choose the installation method according to the type of headrest. Some headrests are inserted directly into the top of the backrest using latches, while others are fixed with screws. Follow the instructions during installation to ensure that the headrest height is adjustable and securely fixed, preventing sliding or detachment during use.
