The Shangqiu office chair design is represented by the elephant-themed series of seats, which integrate bionics and ergonomics, combining practicality with artistry. The design inspiration for this series of seats comes from the morphological characteristics of elephants. Through bionic design techniques, natural elements are transformed into furniture language, while functional optimization is carried out in combination with modern office needs, forming a unique design style.
1. Bionic Morphological Design
The overall shape of the seat is modeled after the body shape of an elephant, achieving unity of form and function through multi-dimensional bionics. The armrests on both sides mimic the fan-shaped outline of elephant ears, adopting a curved design that fits the natural curvature of the arms, enhancing support comfort. The four pillars are designed to mimic the leg structure of an elephant, with a sturdy cylindrical shape to enhance stability, while segmented processing optimizes the visual proportion. The wrinkled design of the backrest is inspired by an elephant's trunk, with three-dimensional embossing creating natural undulations that enhance back breathability and subtly imply the gentle nature of elephants. The connection between the seat surface and the armrests mimics the rounded shape of an elephant's abdomen, creating a wide and thick enveloping feel. The interior is filled with high-rebound memory foam and down, balancing support and softness.
2. Material and Process Selection
The main material is South American FAS-grade walnut wood, which has clear grain patterns and moderate hardness. After fine polishing, it presents a warm and smooth texture while ensuring structural strength. The seat surface and backrest are covered with cotton and linen fabric, which enhances wear resistance through blending technology and offers better breathability than traditional leather materials, making it suitable for long hours of office use. The filling layer adopts a hybrid process of high-rebound memory foam and down, with memory foam providing lasting support and down adding a soft touch, creating dynamic pressure distribution. The hardware components are made of high-quality stainless steel, which is rust-proof to ensure stable connections. SF7107A - 4 (3000ร1000ร890mm) is a four-seater bench chair, with an added central armrest design to enhance privacy during multi-person use, suitable for large meeting rooms or reception areas.
