Scandinavian Office Chair Assembly
The assembly steps for a Scandinavian office chair are as follows:

1. Inventory the parts and prepare the tools
After unpacking, arrange all items in a well-lit and spacious area. The core components include a five-star base, casters, a gas lift, a seat plate (chassis), a seat cushion, a backrest, armrests, and a screw pack. Some models may also include a swivel or leg frame. Regarding tools, the manufacturer usually provides an Allen wrench. It is recommended to have your own screwdrivers (Phillips/flat-head), a rubber mallet (for installing the gas lift), and a tape measure (for adjustments). If a tool is missing, you can temporarily use pliers instead of a wrench, but be careful not to strip the screws.
2. Install the five-star base and casters
Place the five-star base with the front side up. Align the metal rod of the caster with the base hole and press vertically until you hear a 'click' sound (for threaded types, tighten clockwise). Install all casters in sequence and then gently shake the base to check for firmness, preventing looseness during subsequent use.
3. Install the gas lift
Ensure the center hole of the five-star base is facing up. Remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the gas lift (if present) and insert the thicker end vertically into the center hole, pressing firmly to the bottom. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so ensure it is installed vertically and securely.
4. Install the seat plate (chassis)
Flip the seat cushion so that the bottom is facing up. Remove the pre-installed screws and align the seat plate with the holes (pay attention to distinguish the front and back directions; the side with the height adjustment lever is the front). First, screw the screws in by hand and then gradually tighten all screws using the 'diagonal tightening method' to avoid uneven local stress that could cause the seat plate to tilt.
5. Connect the seat to the gas lift
Lift the seat with the installed seat plate and align the center hole of the seat plate with the top of the gas lift, then smoothly slide it down vertically. Keep the movement steady in this step to prevent the top of the gas lift from scratching the seat plate or the bottom of the seat.
6. Install the backrest and armrests
For an ergonomic chair, align the backrest with the screw holes on the back of the seat and tighten them. When installing the armrests, use long screws to fix the armrest frames to both sides of the seat, and then use short screws to fix the armrest cushions. If the chair has electric adjustment or massage functions, connect the wires and plug in the connectors when installing the backrest.
7. Make detailed adjustments and test sit
Some models may require the installation of a swivel (for rotating leisure computer chairs, install the swivel crosswise to the leg frame), footrests, or cup holders. Finally, test sit and rotate the chair to check for stability and normal functionality. Tighten any loose parts with tools if necessary.
