Rotating Leather Office Chair

Admin October 19, 2026

A rotating leather office chair is an office seat equipped with a rotating function, made of leather material, and designed in accordance with ergonomic principles. The following is an introduction from multiple aspects:

Material and Structural Features

  • Material: Some are covered with top-grain leather, such as the Xixia L6 boss chair. Top-grain leather has a delicate touch and is breathable. The core components of an office swivel chair include the seat cushion, backrest, five-star base, casters, and pneumatic height adjustment system, with some series using leather materials.
  • Structure: Designed in accordance with ergonomic principles, the lumbar and back areas have three-dimensional support designs, with dynamic support in the lower lumbar region to better fit the body's curves and reduce lumbar pressure. The three-stage adjustable armrests can be adjusted in height and angle according to different needs, providing comfortable support. The seat cushion is made of thick high-density foam, which does not collapse even after prolonged sitting, ensuring comfort during long-term use. The bottom is equipped with an aluminum alloy five-star base, suitable for various floor types, with strong stability.

Functional Advantages

  • Rotating function: It facilitates easy direction changes for users, such as picking up files nearby or communicating with colleagues. The rotation is smooth without jamming, and it can move 360 degrees, greatly improving work efficiency and making office time more comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Adjustable function: The height can be adjusted via a pneumatic rod to meet the needs of users of different heights; the 135-degree large-angle recline function allows for relaxation during breaks.

Manufacturing Process

First, a sturdy base is welded, and steel springs and support frames are installed. After completing the welding of the seat frame and backrest frame, the leather and foam blocks are cut, and the leather and foam are sewn together. The welded frame is then covered with particleboard and foam and wrapped in leather. After assembling the seat, plastic cover plates are screwed on, and the base, support rods, and support disks are installed. The hydraulic rod of the lifting valve seat is installed to control the height adjustment and 360-degree rotation. Finally, an aluminum base, casters, a headrest, and armrest parts are installed.

Development History

The earliest prototype of an office chair can be traced back to the forward-tilting wooden chair in Egypt around 1900 BC. In 1849, Thomas Warren invented and produced the first truly modern office chair in history, featuring rotation, sliding, and an elastic soft seat surface.
