Roller Office Chair Production

Admin October 10, 2026

The production of roller office chairs involves key steps such as raw material preparation, design and planning, production process, assembly, and quality inspection.

Raw Material Preparation: Appropriate metals, plastics, sponges, and fabrics need to be selected. Metals are used to make the chair frame and must have a certain strength to ensure the stability of the chair. Plastics can be used to make components such as rollers and armrests, requiring good moldability and durability. Sponges provide a comfortable sitting feeling, and their density and elasticity need to be moderate. Fabrics are used to cover the seat and must consider breathability and wear resistance.

Design and Planning: The seat is designed according to ergonomic principles to determine the size and shape of each component. For example, the curve of the backrest should fit the natural curvature of the spine, the position of the lumbar support should be reasonable, and the depth and inclination of the seat cushion should be adapted to different body types. The R & D department uses professional software to draw detailed structural drawings and make sample prototypes, while determining material selection. For example, mesh fabrics need to have good breathability, sufficient elastic recovery, and long-term tensile resistance.

Production Process: First, the metal is cut, bent, and welded to form the basic structure of the chair frame. Plastic components are formed by injection molding to ensure accurate dimensions. The sponge is cut according to design requirements. For mesh-back swivel chairs, large rolls of mesh fabric raw materials are cut into specific shapes to prepare for the subsequent mesh-stretching process.

Assembly: The chair frame, rollers, armrests, seat, and other components are installed in sequence. Taking a mesh-back swivel chair as an example, first assemble the chair legs and the five-star base, then insert the gas lift into the center hole of the five-star base, install the base mechanism and lock it, and finally stretch the mesh and fix the mesh fabric on the backrest and seat cushion frames to ensure uniform tension and a flat surface. During the assembly process, it is necessary to ensure that each component is firmly connected to ensure the stability of the chair.

Quality Inspection: The finished products are strictly inspected to check the structural strength of the chair, the flexibility of the rollers, and the comfort of the seat. Only products that pass the inspection can enter the market to ensure that consumers can use high-quality roller office chairs.
