Glue for Repairing Office Chairs
When repairing office chairs, appropriate glue should be selected according to different types, as follows:

For workstation swivel chairs, industrial-grade glue with high strength and good adhesion should be chosen. Epoxy resin adhesive is one of the ideal choices. After curing, it has high strength and good water resistance, and can firmly bond various materials such as metal and plastic, making it suitable for repairing structural components like wheels and brackets of swivel chairs. Neoprene adhesive has excellent elasticity and is suitable for bonding materials such as rubber and leather. For components like armrests and seat cushions of workstation swivel chairs, using neoprene adhesive for repair can ensure the softness and comfort of the components and avoid affecting the user experience due to glue hardening.
When repairing PP lumbar-support posture chairs, special attention should be paid to the material properties. Polypropylene (PP) has low surface energy, and ordinary adhesives are difficult to bond effectively. Special adhesives must be used. These adhesives are designed for PP materials, and their formulations contain specific components to change the interfacial energy state and enhance adhesion. At the same time, they need to have appropriate toughness, fatigue resistance, and environmental aging resistance to ensure long-term use without detachment. In addition, the adhesives need to comply with volatile organic compound (VOC) emission standards to ensure indoor air quality. Reactive hot-melt adhesives or ultraviolet curing systems are common choices. The former is applied by heating and melting and then cured by cooling; the latter is rapidly cured by ultraviolet irradiation, both of which can meet the bonding requirements of PP materials.
For non-structural components of ordinary office chairs (such as sticking documents, envelopes, etc.), common office adhesives can be selected. Liquid adhesives such as Deli 7303, with polyvinyl alcohol as the main component, dry quickly and are less likely to wrinkle the paper, suitable for sticking documents, envelopes, or doing handicrafts. Solid adhesives such as Deli 7093, which use polyvinyl alcohol or acrylic resin, are easy to carry, environmentally friendly, and non-sticky to hands, suitable for financial staff to stick invoices, children to do handicrafts, or daily office use. If quick bonding is required and the strength requirement is not high, 502 adhesive can also be used, but it should be noted that it cures quickly and is easy to stick to hands. Care should be taken during use to avoid contact with the skin or eyes.
When selecting adhesives, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the material of the office chair, the repair part, and the usage requirements to ensure the bonding effect and usage safety.
