Fixing Methods for Rental Office Chairs

Admin October 09, 2026

Several methods can be used to fix rental office chairs, which are simple to operate and do not damage the floor, making them suitable for rental scenarios:

1. Anti-slip Pad Adhesion Method This method is suitable for daily household or rental scenarios, achieving fixation by increasing friction. Choose silicone or rubber pads with anti-slip textures on the bottom and cut them to the same size as the bottom of the chair legs. Before sticking, thoroughly clean the chair legs and the floor to ensure there is no dust or oil, enhancing adhesion. Anti-slip pads can prevent the chair from sliding, reduce friction sounds when moving, and are easy to replace, making them suitable for long-term use. If the rental contract restricts floor modifications, this method does not require drilling or using glue, meeting the non-destructive requirements.

2. Strap Tightening Method This is suitable for temporary fixation needs, such as organizing tables and chairs or temporarily arranging seats. Choose durable Velcro straps, cross-wrap them around the legs of adjacent chairs, and tighten them to secure them in a row. The stickiness of the Velcro can prevent the chairs from loosening, and they are easy to untie after use, with a high reuse rate. This method is highly flexible, allowing the strap length to be adjusted according to the number of chairs, making it suitable for short-term events or scenarios requiring frequent layout adjustments.

3. Base Clip Fixation Method If the office chair comes with a matching plastic base, it can be directly fixed using the tension of the clip. Clip the base onto the bottom of the chair and press it onto the floor, achieving stable support through the elastic structure of the clip. This method does not require drilling or using glue throughout the process, leaving no residue on the floor after disassembly and maintaining a clean appearance, making it suitable for rental environments with high floor protection requirements. Note that a base matching the chair model should be selected to ensure the fixation effect.

4. Temporary Backrest Fixation For the issue of a wobbly office chair backrest, use a rope or cloth strip to wrap and fix the backrest to the main body of the seat. This method is a temporary solution, reducing wobbling by increasing friction at the connection points, suitable for ensuring use stability before finding a permanent repair method. Regularly check the tightness of the wrapped area to avoid safety hazards caused by loosening. For long-term use, it is recommended to contact the landlord or a professional to replace the parts.

All the above methods are designed based on the particularities of rental scenarios, balancing practicality and floor protection needs. You can choose the appropriate method according to specific issues.
