There are three ideas for renovating office chair designs, which can be selected according to actual needs:

1. Under-desk Lazy Stool Assist Design
Place a sloped footstool with a height of 10-15 centimeters under the office desk. It is recommended to use memory foam or cork for the material, or a 9-12 centimeter thick yoga block as an alternative. The footstool serves as a dynamic support point. By adjusting the height of the feet, the center of gravity of the sitting posture can be changed. Changing positions every 20 minutes can effectively reduce the urge to cross the legs. This design can relieve leg swelling, foot numbness, and lower back pain caused by prolonged sitting by dispersing the pressure on the lower limbs. The sloped design guides the pelvis to maintain a neutral position, avoiding excessive lumbar lordosis, and is especially suitable for scenarios that require long hours of desk work.

2. 'Semi-reclining' Lunch Break Renovation Plan
For office chairs with a reclining function, add an oily memory foam pillow behind the headrest and an adjustable lumbar support to the waist. During the lunch break, recline the chair back to 25-30 degrees. Use a U-shaped pillow to support both sides of the neck and the back of the head. The lumbar support needs to precisely support the L3-L5 segments of the lumbar spine to maintain the physiological curvature. Cover the legs with a warm blanket and use an eye mask and earplugs to create a closed resting environment. This design does not require additional space and can switch states within 10 minutes, making it especially suitable for scenarios with narrow office areas. Note that the reclining angle should not exceed 30 degrees; otherwise, it may increase the pressure on the cervical spine.

3. Car Seat Magic Renovation Plan
To transform a scrap car seat into an office chair, two steps are required: First, install an appropriate base at the bottom of the seat. It is recommended to use a five-star footrest with wheels or a solid wooden base. Those with electronic repair skills can further renovate the seat's circuit system to achieve functions such as angle adjustment, heating, and ventilation. The advantage of car seats lies in their original ergonomic design—the side wings support can fix the pelvis, the adjustable headrest can adapt to different heights, and some high-end models are also equipped with lumbar airbag adjustment functions. After renovation, it is necessary to focus on testing the stability of the load-bearing structure to ensure the safety of the seat during dynamic use.
