Recycling Office Chair Installation

Admin October 13, 2026

The installation of a recycling office chair generally follows the steps below, proceeding in order from component assembly to overall fixation:

1. Install the Chair Base and Casters
Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair base and secure them using clips or screws (some casters are designed with tool-free clips for easy installation by simply pressing them in). After installation, check that the casters rotate smoothly without any sticking or looseness. If the chair base is a five-star structure, insert the lifting rod (pneumatic rod) vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring sufficient insertion depth and proper vertical alignment to prevent wobbling during subsequent use.

2. Secure the Seat Plate to the Chair Seat
Place the seat plate (which includes components for controlling height adjustment and rotation) on the underside of the chair seat, align the screw holes, and tighten the fixing screws with a screwdriver. Ensure that the orientation of the seat plate matches the design of the chair seat, for example, the control handle should face the user. Some chair seats have a reserved interface for the pneumatic rod at the bottom; make sure this interface is aligned with the center of the seat plate to provide support for subsequent installation.

3. Attach the Chair Back to the Chair Seat
Depending on the connection method of the chair back, secure it to the rear of the chair seat using screws or clips. If the chair back is designed with an adjustable angle, adjust it to the initial position before installation to avoid difficulties during subsequent operations. After connection, gently shake the chair back to check that it is firmly fixed and will not come loose during use.

4. Assemble the Pneumatic Rod and Seat Assembly
Vertically slide the seat assembly (with the chair seat already installed) over the top end of the pneumatic rod, ensuring that the piston of the pneumatic rod fully enters the interface of the seat assembly. Apply vertical force during this step to prevent the pneumatic rod from tilting and damaging the internal seals. After insertion, gently press down on the chair seat to test whether the height adjustment function of the pneumatic rod works properly.

5. Install the Armrests and Headrest
Armrests are usually fixed to both sides of the chair seat with screws; align the reserved holes and tighten the screws. If the armrests are designed with adjustable height or angle, confirm that the adjustment mechanism is in the initial position before installation. The installation of the headrest depends on the design of the chair back; secure it to the upper part of the chair back using clips or screws and adjust it to the appropriate height before locking it in place.

6. Final Inspection and Adjustment
After all components are installed, conduct a comprehensive check to ensure that all screws are tightened and clips are properly seated. Test all functions of the chair: check that height adjustment is smooth, rotation is flexible, and caster movement is unobstructed. If any abnormalities are found, re-inspect the installation of the corresponding components to ensure safe use.
