Reception, Conference, and Office Chairs

Admin October 09, 2026

Reception chairs, conference chairs, and office chairs are three types of chairs used in different scenarios within office furniture, each with its own characteristics and scope of application.

Reception chairs are primarily used for receiving and meeting clients, serving as chairs with social functions in the office furniture industry. Their materials are mainly divided into two categories: wood and metal. With the diversified development of market demand, product materials continue to be subdivided. For example, some reception chairs use materials such as leather and fabric. At the same time, to adapt to the trend of health, reception chairs incorporate ergonomic designs to better fit the body's curves and enhance user comfort.

Conference chairs are designed for conference scenarios. Common conference chairs feature a simple, comfortable, and breathable mesh fabric material paired with black I-shaped legs, ensuring both breathability and stability. Additionally, there are folding styles, such as folding conference chairs, which are easy to store and move. Under normal circumstances, they will not scratch expensive home floors. If there are concerns, soft foot pads can be used to further protect the floor.

The core types of office chairs can be classified into three categories. The first is the authoritative executive chair, commonly found in the independent offices of general managers or chairpersons. It is wrapped in top-grain leather, filled with high-density foam, and has a metal frame structure. It generally has a load-bearing capacity of over 150 kilograms and a height of more than 90 centimeters, serving business reception and short-term office scenarios, highlighting the user's identity and status. The second is the efficiency-oriented staff chair, most commonly seen at employee workstations in open office areas. Mesh or PU materials are mainstream, focusing on lightweight breathability and cost control. It has a basic gas lift adjustment function, providing basic sitting support for most employees and meeting the basic needs of an eight-hour workday. The third is the health-protecting ergonomic chair, used when there is a high demand for comfort and health support during long hours of desk work. Its lumbar support, seat depth, armrests, and even recline angle can be adjusted in multiple dimensions, aiming to dynamically adapt to the body's curves and relieve lumbar and cervical spine pressure. Some high-end models also incorporate gravity-sensing sitting posture reminders and waterfall-edge seat cushion designs to promote blood circulation, with prices ranging from several hundred yuan to eight thousand yuan.
