Quick-Assembly Office Chair

Admin October 12, 2026

The assembly of quick-assembly office chairs typically focuses on simplifying the process and reducing reliance on tools. Taking the S800 computer chair as an example, its assembly steps are clear and suitable for rapid setup. The specific process is as follows:

  1. Base and Gas Cylinder Assembly
Place the five-star base upside down and insert the five casters one by one, ensuring they are securely attached to the base. Then, insert the gas cylinder (the thicker end) vertically into the center hole of the five-star base and press firmly until it is fully fixed. The gas cylinder is the core component for the chair's height adjustment function, so ensure the installation direction is correct to avoid loosening during later use.

  2. Seat and Seat Plate Connection
Align the seat plate with the screw holes on the bottom of the seat cushion. Use four fine screws (usually M6 size) for initial fixation, then tighten them one by one with a tool (such as a Phillips screwdriver or wrench) to ensure there is no wobbling between the seat plate and the cushion. The seat plate must fit snugly against the cushion to prevent any rattling during use due to loose screws.
After securing the cushion, align the top of the gas cylinder with the center hole of the seat plate and press vertically until the gas cylinder locks into place with the seat plate. Keep the gas cylinder vertical during this step to prevent tilting, which could cause the height adjustment function to fail.

  3. Backrest and Armrest Installation
When installing the backrest, align its bottom with the screw holes on the back of the seat plate, insert a washer, and secure it with three coarse screws (usually M8 size). After tightening, check that the backrest is stable. The multi-position height adjustment function of the backrest should be tested after installation to ensure the adjustment buckle is flexible.
For armrest installation, first unscrew the built-in nuts and washers. Align the armrest brackets with the screw holes on the sides of the backrest, insert the washers and nuts in sequence, and tighten them with a tool until there is no looseness. Some models of armrests support rotation or retraction, so adjust them to the desired angle after installation and confirm that the locking function works properly.

  4. Functional Component Testing
After assembly, test the core functions of the office chair:

    • Height Adjustment Function: Adjust the seat height using the gas cylinder to ensure smooth and unobstructed height changes.
    • Sliding Function: If the cushion is equipped with a slide rail, test it by sliding it back and forth to ensure the track is unobstructed.
    • Footrest Extension: If the chair is equipped with an extendable footrest, test it by extending and retracting it to ensure the locking mechanism is reliable.

General Assembly Tips:

  • Before assembly, check the quantity of screw fittings (e.g., No. 3 screws for armrests, No. 1 screws for other components) to avoid omissions.
  • Some steps require the use of a wrench or electric screwdriver, so it is advisable to prepare tools in advance to improve efficiency.
  • If you encounter misaligned screw holes or components that do not fit snugly, recheck the installation direction and avoid forcing assembly, which could cause damage.

The quick-assembly design of the S800 model significantly reduces assembly time through modular components and standardized screws, making it suitable for rapid deployment in home or office settings. The quick-assembly features of other models may vary slightly due to structural differences, so it is recommended to refer to the specific product manual or video tutorial for operation.
