Qualified Office Chair and Boss Chair
Qualified office chairs and boss chairs must meet various requirements in terms of structure, materials, design, safety, and maintenance.

Structural Composition: Qualified products typically consist of eight basic components: casters, five-star base, gas lift, seat plate, seat, armrests, backrest, and headrest. The gas lift is the core for height adjustment, with a travel distance of up to 80mm, and must pass safety certifications (such as SGS, TUV). The casters are mostly made of PA material, supporting 360ยฐ omnidirectional rotation. The five-star base is commonly made of nylon or metal to ensure load-bearing stability. The seat plate is often made of metal and equipped with a mechanical explosion-proof mechanism to prevent accidental failure of the gas lift.
Material Types: Common materials include leather (PU leather or genuine leather) and mesh. Leather models are mostly used for executive chairs, offering a soft touch but requiring attention to breathability. Mesh models provide excellent breathability, suitable for summer or prolonged use. Some products use solid wood or plastic frames, with fabrics that may include linen, artificial leather, etc. It is important to pay attention to formaldehyde emissions, and qualified products should comply with national environmental standards (such as GB 18580-2017).
Design Features:
- Ergonomics: They must provide lumbar and head support. For example, the SumLush Xia Cai Mu Fit CC chair features a ZeroG Flow dynamic lumbar support system that integrates four-way back-lumbar alignment, dynamic spinal pressure distribution adaptation, and full-back support structure, automatically adjusting the support position to disperse body pressure.
- Adjustability: They support height and tilt adjustments. For height adjustment, sit firmly and lift the adjustment handle, then adjust to the desired height after the gas lift is released. Some products, like the Guquan S9 boss chair, are equipped with an electric lumbar support function, with a lumbar support distance of up to 6 centimeters.
- Smart Features: Some high-end products incorporate smart monitoring and automatic adjustment functions, such as real-time support force adjustment through sensors.
Safety Performance: The gas lift must pass explosion-proof tests. Poor-quality products may explode due to impure internal gases or poor sealing. The seat plate must have an explosion-proof structure to prevent the chair from suddenly dropping if the gas lift fails. Additionally, the fabric must be flame-retardant (complying with GB 20286-2006 standards) to avoid fire risks.
Usage and Maintenance:
- Usage Methods: Adjust the chair smoothly, ensuring both feet are flat on the ground and the thighs are parallel to the ground. Avoid overloading (usually with a load capacity of โค120kg), keep the center of gravity in the middle of the gas lift, and never sit on the armrests or place heavy objects on them.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: For leather chairs, wipe with a soft cloth and use a 1%-3% neutral detergent for stubborn stains. For mesh chairs, remove dry dirt by patting or use a vacuum cleaner; for liquid stains, immediately blot them dry and wipe with a neutral detergent. Clean metal fittings regularly with an oiled cloth and repair rust spots promptly. Clean the casters of hair and fibers to ensure smooth sliding. Avoid direct sunlight and regularly check if screws and springs are loose.
