Pneumatic Office Chair Modification
Admin October 22, 2026
The modification of pneumatic office chairs should be carried out according to specific needs and by professionals to ensure safety.

I. Precise Adjustment Functions
- Multi-position Height Adjustment Based on Body Weight: Install pneumatic sensors and electronic control modules. These sensors identify the user's body weight and automatically match the lifting resistance, precisely locking the height to avoid difficulties in lifting or sliding caused by weight differences in traditional pneumatic rods.
- Stepless Adjustable Recline Damping: Install an independent pneumatic adjustment valve in the recline mechanism. By rotating the valve, the damping can be controlled to achieve smooth adjustment of the recline angle, catering to different sitting habits.
II. Office Assistance Functions
- Automatic Standing Assistance: Install a miniature pneumatic pump and a trigger switch (such as a pressure sensor or button) at the bottom of the seat. When standing up, the pump delivers a small amount of pneumatic pressure to assist in lifting the seat, reducing pressure on the waist.
- Quick Workstation Adaptation: Adjust the height with one click via a remote control or a button on the side of the seat, adapting to users of different heights or temporary workstation changes, improving office efficiency.
III. Safety and Emergency Functions
- Overload Automatic Pressure Relief: Install a pressure sensor module inside the pneumatic rod. When the load exceeds the safety threshold (e.g., 120kg), it automatically and slowly releases the pneumatic pressure to prevent the risk of cylinder explosion.
- Emergency Quick Seat Lowering: Set an emergency switch at the bottom or side of the seat. When triggered, it quickly vents the gas inside the pneumatic rod, lowering the seat to the lowest height for easy emergency evacuation.
IV. Optimization for Children's Use
- Lower Seat Height: Adjust the pneumatic lifting model to the lowest position; if not adjustable, replace it with a short telescopic column or place a stable wooden board under the chair legs.
- Enhance Safety Protection: Remove sharp armrests or wrap them with soft materials. If they are too high, they can be cut and polished to shorten them; install horizontal safety straps or lumbar support panels on the backrest.
- Improve Stability: Lock the casters or replace them with a fixed base; casters with brakes or rubber-covered wheels can prevent sliding; fixed-leg chairs need to be equipped with anti-slip pads.
Special Reminder: Modifications should be carried out by personnel with mechanical maintenance qualifications. It is strictly prohibited to privately modify explosion-proof safety structures (such as the explosion-proof steel plate of the pneumatic rod), as this may lead to pneumatic leakage, lifting rod jamming, or even explosion injuries.
