Pakistan Office Chair
The production of office chairs in Pakistan combines both handmade and factory-based methods, and there are also relevant industry exhibitions.

Handmade Production Mode
Some office chairs in Pakistan are produced in small workshops using purely handmade methods. In this mode, the production process is clearly divided and meticulous. For example, a 20-year-old man and a 69-year-old young man collaborate to create high-end office seats. The older man first uses a mold to draw lines and mark on the bent wooden board to create an ergonomic backrest. This step requires precise measurement and marking to ensure the comfort and rationality of the backrest. Afterward, the younger man uses an electric saw to cut the wooden board into the shape of the backrest, which requires him to have certain operational skills and safety awareness. Then, the older man uses an electric drill to make holes and install screw sleeves, preparing for the installation of subsequent components. Subsequently, iron connectors are installed to enhance the structural stability of the seat. Then, the functional chassis of the seat is installed, providing the seat with various adjustment functions. Finally, high-end latex foam is installed on the base, and large pieces of high-density sofa sponge are used for the backrest, which are completed through processes such as marking, cutting, pasting, and trimming. Although this purely handmade production method is relatively inefficient, it ensures that each office chair has unique craftsmanship and high quality, comparable to that of large domestic factories.
Factory Mechanical Processing Mode
In factories, office chairs are produced using mechanical processing methods. The master first cuts steel pipes into standard lengths, which is the basic step for making the base and requires ensuring cutting precision. Then, the steel pipes are pressed into bent shapes to create the base. Next, the steel pipes are installed on a mold (welding platform) and welded using gas metal arc welding to ensure the firmness of the base. Afterward, the universal wheel brackets are welded onto the footrests to facilitate the movement of the office chairs. For rusty footrests, a series of treatment processes are carried out, including pickling, rinsing, wiping, removing moisture with sawdust, grinding, polishing, and then galvanizing to improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the footrests.
Industry Exhibition Situation
From September 12 to 14, 2026, the International Office Furniture and Stationery Exhibition was held in Lahore, Pakistan, with exhibits covering office desks and chairs, among others. This exhibition provides a physical business and trade scenario for domestic companies in the relevant industrial chain to collectively display their products and connect with end-buyer customers, helping to promote the development and exchanges of the office chair industry in Pakistan.
