Ordinary Office Chairs

Admin October 17, 2026

Ordinary office chairs are chairs equipped for convenience in daily work and social activities, and can be divided into narrow and broad categories.

Narrow ordinary office chairs: These refer to backrest chairs used by individuals in a seated position while performing desk work. These chairs are typically designed with ergonomics in mind to meet the comfort needs of long hours of office work. For example, the Leisure Office Chair is characterized by its easy installation and effortless adjustment. Regardless of the recline position, the backrest tightly fits against the waist, providing good lumbar support and reducing fatigue from prolonged sitting. This design helps maintain correct sitting posture and reduces the risk of physical discomfort and health issues caused by poor posture, such as cervical and lumbar spine diseases.

Broad ordinary office chairs: These encompass all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are generally used in the offices of senior management and typically feature more luxurious designs and a greater number of adjustable options, such as adjustable armrests and headrests, to reflect the user's status and provide ultimate comfort. Staff chairs, on the other hand, focus more on practicality and cost-effectiveness, meeting the basic needs of ordinary employees for daily office work.

Quality issues: Ordinary office chairs may have some quality problems. For instance, on March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada initiated a recall of office chairs manufactured in China due to the risk of backrest breakage, which posed a falling hazard. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation's national supervision and inspection of office chairs found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States initiated a recall of WorkPro Momentum office chairs manufactured in China due to the potential failure of bolts, posing a falling hazard. These quality issues not only affect the comfort and work efficiency of users but may also pose a threat to their safety. Therefore, when purchasing ordinary office chairs, consumers should choose to buy from formal channels and pay attention to product quality certifications and safety standards to ensure the purchase of safe and reliable products.
