Ordinary Office Chair Fabric
Ordinary office chair fabrics mainly include mesh fabric, leather, velvet fabric, and ordinary chemical fiber blended fabrics. Different materials have different characteristics and are suitable for different scenarios.

Mesh fabric is one of the common materials for ordinary office chairs, with its core advantage being excellent breathability. Mesh fabric is usually woven from materials such as polyester fibers or nylon, with a surface covered in fine holes that allow air to circulate freely. This characteristic makes it highly suitable for long-term use scenarios, such as office environments that require prolonged sitting. It can effectively reduce the accumulation of sweat on the buttocks and back due to stuffiness, reduce skin discomfort, and enhance user comfort. In addition, mesh fabric has good elasticity and can deform moderately according to body pressure, providing a certain degree of support. However, compared to other materials, its durability is slightly weaker, and local sagging or deformation may occur after long-term use.
Leather materials are renowned for their abrasion resistance and ease of cleaning and are commonly found in high-end office chairs. Natural leather (such as cowhide) has a soft texture and relatively good breathability, but it comes at a higher cost. Artificial leather (such as PU leather) simulates the appearance of leather through chemical synthesis, has a lower cost, and is easier to maintain. Leather has a smooth surface, and stains are not easily absorbed, making it easy to clean with just a damp cloth. It is suitable for environments with high hygiene requirements. However, the breathability of leather is relatively weaker than that of mesh fabric, and prolonged use may lead to a stuffy feeling due to the inability of sweat to evaporate in a timely manner, especially in summer or humid regions.
Velvet fabric is mainly characterized by its softness and comfort and is often used in office chairs that pursue a tactile experience. Velvet fabric has a surface covered in fine hairs, providing a delicate touch and a gentle wrapping sensation, making it suitable for short-term use or casual office scenarios. However, it is relatively difficult to clean, as the hairs easily adsorb dust and stains and are not resistant to water washing, requiring professional cleaning tools or dry cleaning for maintenance. In addition, the breathability of velvet fabric is between that of mesh fabric and leather, and prolonged use may result in a slight stuffy feeling due to the obstruction of air circulation by the hairs.
Ordinary chemical fiber blended fabrics are typical representatives of synthetic and functional fabrics and are widely used in office chairs due to their high cost-effectiveness and washability and abrasion resistance. These fabrics are usually made by blending chemical fibers such as polyester fibers and nylon. By adjusting the fiber ratio and weaving process, they can balance breathability, elasticity, and durability. Their advantages lie in their relatively low cost and the ability to enhance functionality through surface treatments (such as stain resistance and anti-static properties), making them suitable for office scenarios with limited budgets or high durability requirements. However, the touch of chemical fiber fabrics is slightly harder than that of natural materials (such as leather and velvet fabric), and the comfort level is slightly lower.
