On-Site Installation of Office Chairs
Admin October 10, 2026
The steps for on-site installation of office chairs need to be adjusted according to the specific model, but the general process can refer to the following core steps:

1. Installation of Basic Components
- Install Wheels and Gas Lift: Align five or more wheels (casters) with the holes on the chair base (five-star base) and press firmly until fully embedded; insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring the bottom fits snugly against the base. This step provides the basic support for the chair's mobility and height adjustment functions.
- Connect Seat and Backrest: Select screw specifications according to the model (e.g., TOAI E1 uses 3 M8 screws, while models 205/206 use 4 M6*25mm screws). Align the connection holes of the backrest and seat, tighten the screws one by one, and confirm there is no looseness. Pay attention to matching the screw length with the hole positions to avoid slipping or structural instability.
2. Installation of Armrests and Functional Components
- Fix Armrests: If the chair has armrests, connect them to the seat or backrest. For example, models 205/206 require 4 M620mm screws to install the tray, then 2 M620mm screws with washers to fix the upper and lower parts of the armrests, and finally install decorative covers to conceal the screw holes. For the TOAI E1 model, flip the seat after fixing the screws to complete the installation.
- Install Footrest and Headrest: Insert the footrest into the reserved hole under the seat, ensuring the catch locks securely; for headrest installation, select screws according to the model (e.g., models 205/206 use 2 M6*30mm screws), align with the top holes of the backrest and tighten to prevent the headrest from wobbling.
3. Overall Assembly and Debugging
- Connect Base and Gas Lift: Align the base of the seat assembly with the top of the gas lift and press down vertically until fully inserted, ensuring the height adjustment function of the gas lift can be triggered normally.
- Function Test: After installation, check that all screws are tightened, and test whether the chair's height adjustment, rotation, and mobility functions are smooth, and whether the armrests, headrest, footrest, and other components are stable without abnormal noises.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check the parts list to avoid missing screws or accessories;
- Screw specifications vary significantly among different models (e.g., M6 and M8 cannot be mixed), so strictly follow the instructions;
- Avoid excessive force during assembly to prevent deformation of parts, especially plastic catches or gas lift interfaces.
If hole misalignment or difficulty in screwing occurs during installation, stop immediately and contact after-sales service to avoid damaging components by forcing installation.
