Wrinkle-Free Office Chair
To use an office chair for emergency clothes drying and prevent wrinkles, you can refer to the following methods:

Choose the Right Part of the Chair
Different structures of office chairs are suitable for hanging different types of clothes. Wide office chair armrests can temporarily hang lightweight thin clothes such as T-shirts and shirts. Their large support surface can reduce clothing deformation caused by local stress. Sturdy wooden or metal conference chair backs are more secure and suitable for hanging heavier or easily slipping clothes, such as coats and pants. The vertical structure of the chair back provides more stable support, preventing clothes from slipping due to a shifted center of gravity.
Use a Triangular Stable Structure for Hanging Clothes
By constructing a triangular stable structure, you can effectively prevent the hanger from sliding or the clothes from being blown away. Hang the hanger on the top of the chair back or the stable outer side of the armrest, so that the two hook points of the hanger and the contact points with the chair form a triangle. For example, if the hanger is hung on the top of the chair back, the hook points and the support points on both sides of the chair back form a triangle; if hung on the outer side of the armrest, the hook points and the contact points of the front end of the armrest and the chair back form a triangle. This structure can disperse the weight of the clothes and enhance stability.
Hang Different Types of Clothes Correctly
- Shirts, Polo shirts: Put the hanger in from the bottom hem of the shirt directly to avoid deforming the collar or stretching the clothes by forcing it in from the neckline. Putting it in from the bottom hem allows the clothes to hang naturally and reduces wrinkles.
- Pants: Hold the pants up into a tube shape and use clips to clip both sides of the waistband for hanging. Spreading out the pant legs increases the ventilation area, accelerates water evaporation, and prevents wrinkles caused by folding the pant legs.
- Coats: If the coat is heavy, prioritize hanging it on the chair back and ensure that the hanger hook is firmly in contact with the chair back. If the coat has a belt, you can tie the belt around the chair back to further secure the clothes.
Control Clothing Moisture and Timing of Handling
Wet clothes taken out of the washing machine should be handled immediately after dehydration when they are still damp but not dripping. At this time, the moisture content of the clothes is moderate, and the fibers have not yet been fully set. Reasonable hanging can reduce the formation of wrinkles. If the clothes are too wet, the gravity of the water will cause the fibers to stretch and deform; if handled after they are completely dry, the wrinkles are already set and difficult to remove.
