Office Chair and Work Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities. They can be classified into narrow and broad senses, with some featuring ergonomic designs, but also having quality issues.

In terms of definitions and classifications, OfficeMate categorizes office chairs into narrow and broad senses. A narrow-sense office chair refers to a backrest chair used by people in a sitting position while performing desk work. A broad-sense office chair encompasses all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs.
Some office chairs are designed with ergonomics in mind, providing users with a more comfortable experience. For example, the Kercano Electric Lumbar Massage Chair focuses on lumbar massage support, featuring a rechargeable lumbar massage design with functions such as red-light heat therapy, two-speed adjustment, and adjustable rotation massage directions. Its right-side wired remote control can adjust the seat height, the backrest can be raised and lowered in four positions, the headrest can be adjusted up and down, the left-side wired remote control can adjust the recline angle and the forward and backward movement of the seat cushion, and it also has a foldable footrest with a versatile 6D bionic armrest. The Sihoo C500 Ergonomic Chair also has a unique design. It features a Domino lumbar support system that dynamically slides to support the waist, a sixth-generation space chassis seat-back linkage function when reclining, allowing for infinite suspension, an exaggerated 145ยฐ recline angle, a 60 bionic joint armrest with multi-angle flexible adjustment, a wide-angle mechanical headrest that can be adjusted forward and backward, a 6cm freely adjustable backrest, and is made of cloud mesh fabric.
However, office chairs also have some quality issues. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada recalled office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which posed a falling hazard. They had received 12 reports, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation's national supervision and inspection of office chairs found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled the WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a falling hazard. They had received 7 reports, including 2 minor injuries.
