Office Chair with Stand

Admin October 10, 2026

The office chair with a stand mainly involves two aspects: the selection and installation of the five-star base.

Selection of the Five-Star Base

The five-star base is the core component of an office chair stand. There are significant differences in its materials, craftsmanship, and prices, so the following factors need to be comprehensively considered when choosing one:

  • Materials and Craftsmanship: Common materials include electroplated steel, aluminum alloy, and nylon baking paint. Electroplated steel bases are relatively inexpensive (e.g., ยฅ15.96 - ยฅ57.0), but attention should be paid to the corrosion resistance of the surface electroplating process. Aluminum alloy bases (e.g., a customized model at ยฅ150.0) are stronger and lighter, suitable for high-end needs. Nylon baking paint bases are mainly characterized by their light weight and cost advantages, but their durability may be slightly inferior.
  • Price Range: The market prices vary widely, ranging from ยฅ9.31 (a basic steel model with monthly sales of 110 units) to ยฅ150.0 (a customized champagne gold aluminum alloy model). If cost-effectiveness is pursued, steel bases with high monthly sales (e.g., disassembled models at ยฅ15.96 or ยฅ42.0) can be chosen; if long-term use or heavy load-bearing is required, it is advisable to choose thickened electroplated steel or aluminum alloy bases.
  • Additional Functions: Some bases support functions such as wheels, height adjustment, or rotation (e.g., models for swivel chair accessories). Selection should be based on the needs of the office scenario. For example, bases with wheels can be given priority in scenarios that require frequent movement.

Installation Precautions

The installation steps for the stands of different office chair models vary slightly, but the core logic is similar. The following aspects need to be focused on:

  • Component Compatibility: Before installation, it is necessary to confirm that the base is compatible with the chair model (e.g., office chairs 908/909 require a five-claw base) to avoid installation failures due to size mismatches.
  • Screw Specifications and Quantity: During installation, it is essential to strictly follow the instructions and use screws of the specified specifications (e.g., M625mm, M820mm, etc.) and ensure the quantity is complete. For example, office chairs 908/909 require 4 M6*25mm screws to fix the backrest stand. If screws are missing or the specifications are incorrect, the structure may be unstable.
  • Installation Sequence: Generally, the wheels and gas lift should be installed first, followed by the fixation of the backrest, seat cushion, and armrests. For example, for office chair 526, 5 wheels should be inserted into the chair feet first, then the gas lift should be vertically inserted, and finally, the armrests and headrest should be gradually installed. If the installation sequence is incorrect, the components may not align properly or be damaged.
  • Safety Inspection: After installation, check that all screws are tightened, and the wheels and gas lift are flexible. Ensure that the chair does not wobble or make abnormal noises before putting it into use.
