Office Chair with Installation
Admin October 13, 2026
The installation of an office chair with installation service generally follows a bottom-up sequence. Here are the detailed steps and precautions:

Installation Steps
- Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift: First, attach the casters to the chair base. Since many domestic casters are not standardized, significant force may be required during installation. After installing the chair base, vertically insert the gas lift into the center of the base.
- Secure the Seat Plate: Use screws to fasten the seat plate to the chair seat. Note that the number and type of screws may vary depending on the chair model, so ensure they are tightly secured.
- Connect the Backrest and Seat: After installing the seat, connect the backrest to the seat. Be meticulous during this step, and it is advisable to use washers to enhance connection stability and reduce wear.
- Assemble the Entire Chair: Vertically insert the base onto the gas lift, then align the gas lift with the butterfly plate and press down firmly several times. Next, lift the seat cushion to check if the installation is secure. Some chairs require inserting small screws as a safety measure, so do not overlook this step.
- Install the Armrests and Headrest: When installing the armrests, ensure the holes are aligned and avoid using excessive force; a 90% tightness is sufficient, and it is best to use washers. After installing the headrest, tighten the screws and check the tightness by patting it backward with your hand; if it is loose, tighten it again.
Precautions
- Verify Components: After purchasing online, verify the quantity of components. Typically, a swivel chair includes components such as a backrest, seat, five-star base, casters, gas lift, butterfly plate, armrests, screws, and a headrest. Some chairs may have an integrated backrest and seat to avoid installation errors.
- Installation Details: Be meticulous when installing the butterfly plate; after assembling the entire chair, shake it left and right and front and back to check for tightness; after installation, do not sit on it immediately; instead, confirm that all components are securely connected once more.
Following these steps and precautions will ensure that your office chair is installed correctly and functions safely and stably.
