Office Chair with Gasket

Admin October 17, 2026

The addition of gaskets to office chairs is primarily aimed at enhancing stability, reducing wear, and ensuring secure installation. The application scenarios and methods of gaskets vary among different models of office chairs.

During the installation of the X158 angled-leg chair, gaskets play a crucial role. When fixing the crossbar to the footrest, it is necessary to place a gasket between the crossbar and the footrest, and then secure it with medium-sized screws. The advantage of this is that the gasket can fill any tiny gaps that may exist between the crossbar and the footrest, making the connection tighter, preventing noise caused by shaking during use, and enhancing the overall stability of the chair. When installing the backrest, the gasket should also be placed over the screw, and then the backrest should be fixed to the seat cushion with medium-sized screws. Here, the gasket can distribute the pressure exerted by the screw on the backrest and seat cushion, preventing material damage due to excessive local pressure and extending the service life of the chair. When installing the armrests, place the gasket into the backrest slot, and then fix the armrests to the backrest with short screws. The gasket ensures a more stable connection between the armrests and the backrest, reducing the likelihood of armrest shaking and improving user comfort.

For the 2022A office chair, a combination of screws and gaskets is also used when installing the base casters and the chassis. When installing the base casters, the gasket can increase the friction between the casters and the base, making the rotation of the casters smoother and preventing them from loosening and falling off due to long-term use. When installing the chassis, the gasket can act as a buffer and shock absorber, reducing collisions and wear between the chassis and other components of the chair, ensuring the stability and safety of the chair during normal use.
