Office Chair and Wheelchair Disassembly
The disassembly methods for office chair wheels and the rear large wheels of wheelchairs are as follows:

Office Chair Wheel Disassembly
Office chair wheels mainly come in two types: threaded models and computer chair casters, with different disassembly methods.
- Threaded wheels: Usually, a small wrench is used for disassembly. Turning to the left is the loosening direction. Generally, the thread size of standard swivel chairs is 10mm. During disassembly, place the chair in a suitable position to ensure sufficient operating space. Then, align the small wrench with the threaded part and slowly turn it to the left until the wheel is loose and can be removed.
- Computer chair casters: Computer chair casters are generally connected to the base via threads. First, lay the chair down or flip it over so that the wheels are facing upwards for easy operation. Then, use a wrench or a wrench socket to unscrew the casters in a counterclockwise direction. If the wheels are tight and difficult to turn, you can use pliers for assistance. Pliers can provide additional clamping and rotational force to help loosen the wheels. If you encounter difficulty in unscrewing them, you can also try applying some lubricating oil or a mild degreaser to the threads. Lubricating oil can reduce the frictional resistance between the threads, making the wheels easier to unscrew. A mild degreaser can remove dirt and impurities from the threads, improving the connection condition. After application, wait for a while to allow the lubricating oil or degreaser to take full effect, and then try to unscrew the wheels again.
Wheelchair Rear Large Wheel Disassembly
To disassemble the rear large wheels of a wheelchair, you first need to deal with the black cover in the middle of the wheels. Use scissors or a similar tool to carefully pry off the black cover. When prying, be mindful of the force to avoid damaging the cover or other parts of the wheel. After prying off the cover, you can see the internal nut. Use a wrench to hold the nut in place and then turn it in the appropriate direction for disassembly. For different models of wheelchairs, the turning direction of the nut may vary. Before operation, you can check the user manual of the wheelchair or consult relevant personnel to ensure the correct disassembly direction.
