Removing Wheels from an Office Chair
There are several methods for removing wheels from an office chair, and you can choose the appropriate one based on the actual situation:

Method 1: Remove by Prying Out the Snap Ring Rod
Some office chair wheels are fixed to the chair with a snap ring rod. First, you need to prepare a flat-head tool, such as a flat-head screwdriver. Insert the flat head of the tool into the connection point between the snap ring rod and the chair, and pry out the old snap ring rod with force. This step requires a certain amount of strength. If it is difficult for a woman to operate, she can ask a man for help. Once the snap ring rod is successfully pried out, the fixing structure between the wheel and the chair is broken, and at this point, you can relatively easily remove the wheel from the chair.
Method 2: Remove by Laying the Chair Down and Tapping
Lay the office chair down so that the wheels are facing upwards, which makes it easier to operate and observe. Then, prepare a flat-head screwdriver and use it to gently tap the connection point between the wheel and the chair to loosen the roller. Once the roller shows signs of loosening, switch to a tool like a hammer and gently tap the wheel. Pay attention to tapping with an appropriate force to avoid damaging the chair. With continuous tapping, the roller will gradually separate from the chair and eventually be completely removed.
Method 3: Remove by Using Pliers
Prepare a pair of pointed-nose pliers and use them to grip the part where the wheel and the chair are connected. During the operation, find a suitable fulcrum and pry the wheel outwards based on the fulcrum. While prying, you can rotate the wheel counterclockwise at the same time, which helps the wheel separate from the chair. If, when using the pliers to pry, the axle of the wheel and the plastic part of the wheel fall apart and the axle is still attached to the chair, don't panic. Continue to look for a new fulcrum. You can try gripping the upper part of the ring and use the ring as a new fulcrum to continue prying the axle until it is completely removed from the chair.
