Office Chair Wheel Removal
The methods for removing office chair wheels vary depending on the wheel type. Here are the common types and their removal steps:

Snap-in Wheels
Snap-in wheels are a relatively common design in office chair wheels, and their removal process is relatively simple. First, turn the office chair upside down so that the seat faces downward, making it easier to operate the wheels. Then, hold the wheel bracket with your hand and gently pull the wheel outward. In most cases, no tools are required for removal. However, if the wheel is stuck tightly and it is difficult to pull it out by hand, you can use a flat-head screwdriver. Gently pry the edge of the snap-in with the flat-head screwdriver. To prevent scratching the bracket, it is recommended to place a soft cloth between the screwdriver and the bracket. Additionally, there is another method. Hold the bracket firmly with your hand and then repeatedly tap it with a hammer. The vibration will loosen the snap-in, allowing you to remove the wheel.
Screw-fixed Wheels
For screw-fixed wheels, the key is to locate the position of the fixing screw. Usually, the screw is located at the center or side of the wheel. After finding the screw, select the corresponding tool according to the screw type, such as a screwdriver or a wrench. Align the tool with the screw and turn it counterclockwise. As the screw gradually loosens, the wheel will also loosen, and you can finally remove it. Screws with different thread models require small wrenches of different specifications. Generally, turning to the left is the operation direction to loosen the screw.
Groove-fixed Wheels
The removal method for groove-fixed wheels is similar to that of some snap-in wheels. First, turn the computer chair upside down so that the seat faces downward for better operation. Then, hold the bracket firmly with your hand to prevent it from moving during the tapping process. Next, repeatedly tap the wheel with a hammer. During tapping, pay attention to applying an appropriate amount of force to avoid damaging the chair. After tapping a few times, the wheel will fall out of the groove due to the vibration, thus completing the removal.
