Office Chair Wheel Cleaning
The cleaning of office chair 'tires' (wheels) can be completed in three steps, as follows:

I. Hair Entanglement Handling
If a large amount of hair is entangled on the wheel surface, physical cleaning methods should be prioritized. For detachable wheels, first turn the office chair upside down (with the seat facing down to avoid scratching the fabric), hold the wheel bracket with your hand and gently pull it outward (most are designed with snap-on mechanisms); if the snap is tight, use a flat-head screwdriver with a soft cloth to pry the edge, remove the wheel, and then use tweezers to pick out the hair from the gaps along the direction of wheel rotation, avoiding reverse operations that may cause tighter entanglement. For non-detachable wheels, use small scissors to slowly trim the hair along the edge of the wheel, or use a lint roller to repeatedly roll and absorb surface hair fragments, but be careful to control the force to prevent damage to the wheel surface.
II. Deep Cleaning of Dirt
After hair removal, deep cleaning should be carried out for oil stains, dust, and other residues. Method 1: Moisten a used facial towel and let it air dry, keeping its textured side. Wrap the wheel with the towel and secure it with a rubber band. Sit on the chair and move back and forth, using friction to transfer the dirt to the facial towel. Repeat the operation until the wheel surface is clean. Method 2: After removing the wheel, use an old toothbrush dipped in a small amount of neutral detergent (avoid strong alkaline cleaners that may corrode the material) to gently brush the wheel surface and bearing gaps. Then rinse with water (be careful to avoid water entering the bearings), dry the water with a dry cloth, and let it air dry in a ventilated place for 10 minutes.
III. Subsequent Lubrication and Maintenance
The cleaned wheels need to be lubricated to restore smoothness. Step 1: Apply 1-2 drops of office equipment-specific lubricant to the bearings (avoid using cooking oil to prevent dust absorption); Step 2: Rotate the wheel by hand to evenly distribute the lubricant; Step 3: Align the wheel with the bracket snap and gently push until you hear a 'click' sound to confirm it is securely installed; Step 4: Turn the office chair upright and push it to test. If there is still stuttering, check if there are any residues in the bearing gaps and repeat the cleaning steps if necessary.
Precautions: During cleaning, avoid water entering the interior of the bearings to prevent rusting; choose a low-viscosity lubricant, as excessive use may cause the wheels to slip; if the wheels are severely worn or the snaps are deformed, it is recommended to directly replace them with new parts.
