Office Chair Wheel Brake
The braking of office chair wheels is mainly achieved through specific designs, with different types and brands having distinct braking methods and characteristics.

Function of Braking Casters
In office chair design, braking casters are a common detail. Their main function is to automatically lock the wheels when the user sits down, preventing the chair from moving accidentally, and to automatically release the lock when the user stands up, facilitating position adjustment. This function provides additional stability and convenience for people who need to get up frequently or use office chairs in environments with smooth floors.

Braking Methods of Some Office Chair Brands
- Hbada Chairs: Most use gravity locking designs. When the user leaves the chair, the pneumatic rod at the base automatically locks the wheels, and unlocks when the user sits down. Some models are equipped with side levers or foot pedals, requiring manual operation to lock the wheels. For specific operations, in most models with conventional gravity locking, the chair automatically locks and cannot move when the user leaves it, and the body weight triggers the pneumatic rod to unlock the wheels and restore movement when sitting down. For manually locked high-end or customized models, find the side lever at the base of the chair, pull the lever up to lock the wheels and fix the chair, and pull the lever down to unlock the wheels and allow the chair to move. At the same time, if the chair cannot be locked, check whether the wheels are damaged or whether the pneumatic rod is leaking air. Avoid forcibly dragging the chair in the locked state to prevent damage to the wheels or the base. Specific operations should follow the product manual. Some models may require a foot-pedal brake, stepping on the pedal at the base to lock the chair.
- Y10G Braking Wheel Chairs: When installing, note that the new braking wheels are divided into left and right, and the braking wheels should correspond to the left and right of the chair legs.
