Office Chair Welding Line

Admin October 10, 2026

The office chair welding line involves a variety of automated welding technologies and equipment, with different companies adopting different solutions based on product characteristics.

The automated welding production line for office chair bases at Foshan Huashu Robotics Co., Ltd. employs gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) processes, with a project cost of 390,000 yuan. Its control system relies on Foshan Googol Automation Technology, which is widely applied in industrial automation fields such as CNC machine tools, robots, and the home furnishing industry (including welding of office chair bases), providing stable control support for the welding line.

Suzhou Bolangte Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., targeting the welding of steel furniture (including table and chair frames), has introduced two robot models to address the welding challenges of 1.0 - 2.5mm thin sheets (mostly made of Q235 cold-rolled plates or stainless steel):

  • BRTIRUS1510A: With a payload of 10kg, a reach of 1500mm, and a repeatability of ยฑ0.05mm, it is suitable for "small-part multi-station" scenarios such as file cabinets, drawer frames, and chair frames. One robot can alternately guard two fixture positions for welding, improving efficiency.
  • BRTIRUS2110A: With a payload of 10kg and a reach of 2100mm, it is suitable for welding "long parts" such as shelves, sofa backrest bases, and bench frames.
Its Huacheng control system features programming-free operation, allowing operators to modify paths after just 2 - 3 days of training, with model change adjustments taking only 15 - 30 minutes. For welding 1 - 2.5mm thin sheets, it employs a combined pulse metal active gas (MAG) and gas tungsten arc welding technology, along with parameter segmentation and swing locking functions, enabling segmented control of current and voltage, locking of swing parameters, and arc length tracking (AVC). This significantly improves weld quality, eliminating the need for rough grinding after welding and requiring only light polishing or brushing.

The aluminum stool welding line is an integrated automated assembly line customized for aluminum alloy stool frames, integrating units such as material loading, positioning fixtures, MIG aluminum welding machines, transfer, and unloading to achieve continuous batch automatic welding. This solution addresses issues such as aluminum's susceptibility to oxidation, poor weld formation, low manual efficiency, and inconsistent appearance by replacing manual welding with automation, enhancing production efficiency and product consistency.
