Office Chair Warranty Policy

Admin October 11, 2026

The warranty policy for office chairs typically includes the following core content, which is subject to the warranty card or contract at the time of purchase:

I. Three Guarantees Period

  1. Whole-chair Warranty: Usually 1 year, calculated from the date of invoice issuance, meeting the minimum requirements of the national standard "Furniture After-sales Service Requirements" (GB/T37652-2019) for commercial office furniture.
  2. Main Components: The warranty period for core components such as the backrest, seat, and armrests may be extended to 3 years or longer, especially in government and enterprise procurement scenarios where a minimum of 3 years of free warranty is often required.
  3. Special Materials or Brands: High-end brands or office chairs made of solid wood or metal may offer a warranty of 3-5 years, subject to the product description or contract agreement.

II. Specific Content of the Three Guarantees

  1. Repair Guarantee:
    • Quality issues not caused by human damage during the three guarantees period (such as gas lift failure or five-star base breakage) can be repaired free of charge, and normal use for more than 30 days must be guaranteed after repair.
    • If the repair is delayed due to the supply of parts or the repairer, the seller should replace the product with the same model free of charge.
  2. Replacement Guarantee:
    • If a performance failure occurs within 7 days of sale, consumers can choose to return, exchange, or repair the product; within 15 days, they can choose to exchange or repair.
    • If the product still cannot be used normally after two repairs during the three guarantees period, the seller should replace the product with the same model free of charge or return it according to regulations.
  3. Return Guarantee:
    • If a return is requested within 7 days of sale, the seller must provide a full refund.
    • If the conditions for exchange are met during the three guarantees period but there is no product of the same model, or if the consumer does not wish to exchange and requests a return, the seller should return the product and charge a depreciation fee according to regulations.

III. Warranty Scope and Exceptions

  1. Warranty Scope: Gas lift failure, chassis malfunction, backrest structure looseness, natural breakage of the mesh fabric, etc..
  2. Non-warranty Scope: Normal aging of the sponge, human scratches, violent damage, normal wear and tear of the casters, etc..
  3. Exceptions: The following situations are not covered by the three guarantees, but repair can be provided at a charge:
    • Damage caused by improper use, maintenance, or storage by the consumer;
    • Damage caused by disassembly by a non-designated repairer;
    • Lack of a three guarantees certificate, valid invoice, or if the certificate model does not match the product or has been altered;
    • Damage caused by force majeure (such as fire or earthquake).

IV. Industry Recommendations

  1. Prioritize sources that offer a 3-year warranty for better cost-effectiveness and after-sales stability.
  2. Avoid verbal warranties and ensure the warranty period is clearly stated in the contract or documents.
  3. High-end brands or products made of special materials may have a longer warranty period, so confirm the specific terms before purchase.
