Office Chair Warranty Policy
Admin October 09, 2026
The warranty policy for office chairs typically includes the following core elements:

I. Warranty Periods
- Overall Product Warranty: Generally valid for 1 year, calculated from the date of invoice issuance.
- Key Components: The warranty period for core components such as the backrest, seat, and armrests may be extended to 3 years or longer, as specified on the warranty card or in the instruction manual.
- Special Standards: The minimum warranty period for commercial office furniture is 1 year (in accordance with the 'Furniture After-Sales Service Requirements' GB/T37652-2019); government and enterprise procurement projects may require a minimum of 3 years of free warranty.
II. Specific Warranty Services
- Repair:
- Quality issues not caused by human factors (such as gas lift malfunctions or chassis failures) during the warranty period can be repaired free of charge, and normal use must be guaranteed for at least 30 days after repair.
- If the repair period is excessively prolonged due to a shortage of parts or repair delays, the seller should replace the product with the same model free of charge.
- Replacement:
- If performance failures occur within 7 days of purchase, consumers can choose to return, exchange, or repair the product; within 15 days, they can choose to exchange or repair it.
- If the product cannot function normally after two repairs during the warranty period, it should be replaced with the same model free of charge or returned according to the rules.
- Return:
- If a return is requested within 7 days, the seller must provide a full refund.
- If the product meets the conditions for exchange but is out of stock or the consumer refuses to exchange it during the warranty period, it should be returned, and a depreciation fee of 0.1% per day should be charged (calculated from the date of invoice issuance).
III. Warranty Scope and Exceptions
- Warranty Coverage: Non-human-induced faults such as gas lift leaks, five-star base fractures, welding abnormalities, and natural breaks in the mesh fabric.
- Non-Warranty Coverage: Consumptive damages such as normal aging of foam, human-induced scratches, violent damage, and wear and tear on wheels.
- Exceptions: The following situations are not covered by the warranty service but can be repaired for a fee:
- Improper use by consumers (such as overloading or unauthorized modifications);
- Damage caused by disassembly by non-designated repair parties;
- Inability to provide valid warranty documents or invoices;
- Damage caused by force majeure (such as fires or earthquakes).
IV. Industry Recommendations
- Prioritize suppliers offering a 3-year warranty for lower long-term usage costs and more stable after-sales service.
- Clearly specify the warranty period in the procurement contract, avoid verbal commitments, and retain warranty cards, invoices, and other documents.
