Office Chair Warehouse Disposal
Admin October 13, 2026
The following plans can be referred to for office chair warehouse disposal:

I. Detailed Inventory Sorting and Value Determination First, conduct a comprehensive inventory registration. After categorizing by type, grade the items based on their condition:
- 90% New: Used for less than 3 months, with no obvious scratches and no structural damage.
- 70-80% New: Used for 3 months to 1 year, with only slight signs of use, complete parts, and normal functionality.
- Below 70% New: Used for more than 1 year, with obvious bumps and scratches, slightly loose parts but still functional. Through tiered management, the residual value of each category of products can be clarified, providing a basis for subsequent disposal.
II. Valuation by Second-hand Furniture Recyclers Contact local qualified recyclers to issue third-party valuation reports, calculated based on the original purchase price:
- 90% New: Valued at 40% of the purchase price.
- 70-80% New: Valued at 20% of the purchase price.
- Below 70% New: Valued at 5% of the purchase price. This step avoids subjective pricing deviations and ensures transparent and reasonable disposal prices.
III. Tiered Matching of Disposal Channels Match different channels according to the product condition and needs:
- Internal Consumption:
- Release application announcements through the internal OA system or employee groups, allowing departments to reallocate idle chairs for free.
- Open exclusive purchase channels for employees' home use, selling at a 30% discount off the assessed price.
- B-end Bulk Disposal:
- Connect with upstream and downstream enterprises or business parks, selling in bulk at an 80% discount off the assessed price, with free delivery for orders over 10 sets.
- Sign a floor agreement with local large recyclers, who will pick up orders over 20 sets, reducing logistics costs.
IV. Disposal Precautions
- Safety Screening: Prioritize distinguishing between "usable" and "should be discarded" products. Chairs with smooth height adjustment, flexible wheels, and intact backrests can be recirculated; those with cracked frames or potentially hazardous gas springs should be scrapped.
- Brand and Function Assessment: Even if a branded chair is in average condition, if its functions are intact, it may still have a relatively high residual value. Focus on checking the completeness of functions and the level of exterior wear.
- Information Retention: Take photos of the products and record their model numbers (usually located at the bottom or on the armrests) before disposal for easy valuation and subsequent traceability.
- Leveraging Regional Advantages: Prioritize choosing recyclers in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region. They can visit and evaluate the products on the same day in the same city, reducing logistics losses and time costs.
- Trade-in Strategy: If new chairs need to be purchased for a new office, negotiate with suppliers for a "trade-in" deal, where usable products can be converted into a portion of the purchase price, optimizing costs.
