Office Chair Usage Types
Office chair usage types are mainly divided into three categories: executive chairs symbolizing authority, staff chairs pursuing efficiency, and ergonomic chairs safeguarding health.

Executive chairs, also known as boss chairs, are symbols of authority and comfort in business settings. Their design focuses on grandeur and solemnity, typically wrapped in top-grain leather for a delicate touch and strong durability. They are filled with high-density foam to provide good support and a sense of enclosure. The frame is made of sturdy metal, with a load-bearing capacity generally exceeding 150 kilograms and a height of up to over 90 centimeters. These chairs are mainly used in business receptions and short-term office scenarios, such as high-level meetings and client negotiations, with the core need to enhance the user's image through presence and comfort. Due to the high costs of materials and craftsmanship, executive chairs are usually priced in the mid-to-high range.
Staff chairs are the mainstream choice in open office areas, designed with lightness and practicality in mind. Their materials are mostly mesh or PU, balancing breathability and cost control. In terms of structure, they only retain the basic gas lift function for height adjustment, with some models equipped with adjustable armrests, but the adjustment dimensions are limited. These chairs are designed for employee workstations, needing to meet the basic needs of daily 8-hour work, such as typing and reading, within a limited space. Their advantage lies in their high cost-effectiveness, being able to provide basic sitting support for a large number of employees at a relatively low cost. However, long-term use may lead to fatigue due to a lack of lumbar support.
Ergonomic chairs are representative products of the healthy office concept, achieving dynamic support through multi-dimensional adjustments. Their core functions include adjustable lumbar support (precisely supporting the lumbar spine), seat depth adjustment (adapting to different leg lengths), multi-directional armrest adjustment (matching the natural posture of the arms), and backrest angle locking (meeting rest needs). High-end models also incorporate technological elements, such as gravity-sensing posture reminders to correct bad postures in real-time, and waterfall-edge seat cushion designs to promote blood circulation by reducing pressure on the thighs. Prices range from several hundred yuan to eight thousand yuan, mainly depending on the materials (such as imported mesh and aluminum alloy frames) and the richness of the adjustment functions. These chairs are suitable for users who need to focus on work for long periods or have lumbar and neck problems, effectively reducing the health risks associated with prolonged sitting.
