Uneven Sides of Office Chair
The uneven sides of an office chair may be caused by issues with the wheels or casters, gas lift, base, screws, seat plate, as well as design, manufacturing, or installation problems, and can be repaired accordingly.

Wheel or Caster Issues
Bent or deformed casters at the bottom of the chair, or wheels with varying degrees of wear due to uneven ground or long-term uneven force, can cause the chair to tilt left or right. Repair Method: Place the chair upright and ensure each caster is in contact with the ground. Invert the chair to inspect the casters for damage. If the wheels are damaged, purchase matching new wheels for replacement, using a screwdriver to assist in removal. If the issue is due to ground or caster wear, use rubber pads to elevate the shorter leg, or use an angle grinder to sand down the longer chair leg. Alternatively, adjustable feet can be used.Gas Lift Issues
The gas lift, as the core component connecting the chair base and the seat, can cause the chair to lose balance if damaged. Repair Method: When replacing the gas lift, lift the chair so that the base is off the ground. Use a rubber mallet to tap the joint between the base and the gas lift for removal. Then, invert the chair, hold the gas lift, and tap the base until it detaches, taking care not to strike the gas lift directly.Base Issues
The base may crack or age over time, or the connection at the five-star base may loosen, causing the chair to wobble or tilt. Repair Method: If the base is severely damaged, contact a professional repair technician or replace the base directly.Loose Screw Issues
Loose screws on the armrests or base connections can cause the chair to shift and tilt. Repair Method: Use a screwdriver or wrench to loosen the screws counterclockwise, add lubricant, and then tighten them clockwise. If the screw holes are worn, dip a toothpick in white glue and insert it into the hole. After the glue dries, screw the screws back in for reinforcement.Seat Plate Issues
A broken or deformed internal support structure of the seat plate can prevent it from remaining level. Repair Method: Inspect the seat plate for specific issues. If severely damaged, replace it directly.Design, Manufacturing, or Installation Issues
Design flaws, manufacturing errors, or installation mistakes (such as incorrect rotation axis direction, loose installation of the seat cushion and backrest) can all cause the chair to tilt. Repair Method: If it is an installation issue, reinstall the key components according to the instructions. If it is a design or manufacturing issue, contact after-sales service for repair or replace the chair with a new one.
