Office Chair Tutorial

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation tutorials for different types of office chairs are as follows:

General Office Chair Installation Steps

  1. Install Wheels: General office chairs usually come with five wheels. Insert each wheel into the holes at the bottom of the chair legs one by one. Ensure that the wheels fit snugly with the chair legs to prevent looseness or detachment.
  2. Install Gas Lift: Insert the gas lift into the central hole of the chair legs, ensuring that the gas lift is perpendicular to the ground. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so check its stability during installation.
  3. Install Base and Seat Plate: Place the base on the bottom of the seat plate and secure it with four long screws. Make sure the screws are tightened to prevent the base from separating from the seat plate.
  4. Connect Backrest and Seat Plate: Connect the backrest to the seat plate using angle brackets. Pay attention to the direction of the black fabric (usually on the inner side of the backrest). Align the holes during installation and secure them with screws.

  1. Install Wheels and Gas Cylinder: Insert the wheels into the chair legs, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded. Then, insert the gas cylinder into the central hole of the chair legs, keeping it perpendicular to the ground.
  2. Connect Seat Cushion and Backrest: Take out the seat cushion and backrest, and secure the backrest with three M8 screws. Align the holes during installation and ensure the screws are tightened to prevent the backrest from wobbling.
  3. Install Armrests: Align the armrests with the holes on both sides of the seat cushion and secure them with screws. Flip the chair seat over and repeat the process to install the armrest on the other side.
  4. Install Footrest: Insert the footrest into the dedicated hole beneath the seat cushion, ensuring that the footrest is fully embedded and secure.
  5. Install Gas Cylinder and Base: Align the gas cylinder with the central hole of the base and slowly insert it. Keep the gas cylinder perpendicular during installation to prevent the chair from becoming unstable due to tilting.
  6. Install Headrest: Insert the headrest into the hole at the top of the backrest, ensuring that the headrest fits snugly with the backrest. After installation, you can slightly adjust the angle of the headrest for comfort.

Precautions:

  • Before installation, check that all accessories are complete to avoid interruptions due to missing parts.
  • Use tools (such as a screwdriver) when tightening screws to prevent loose fixation from manual operation.
  • After installation, test the chair's functions (such as height adjustment, rotation, and footrest extension) to ensure there are no abnormalities before use.
