This Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities, and there are differences in classification, installation methods, and quality issues.

Classification
OfficeMate categorizes office chairs into two types: narrow and broad. Narrow office chairs refer to the backrest chairs used when people are sitting at a desk for work. These chairs primarily meet the basic sitting needs in daily office work, providing comfortable support to help users focus on their desk tasks. Broad office chairs encompass all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are typically used in the offices of senior corporate management. Their design places greater emphasis on luxury and comfort, with larger sizes and more abundant functions. Staff chairs, on the other hand, are used by ordinary employees for daily office work and focus more on practicality and cost-effectiveness.
Installation Methods
The installation methods of different office chair models vary. Take the 2022A office chair as an example. During installation, relevant materials need to be prepared first, followed by the installation of the base casters. Then, use screws J and K along with gaskets L to install the chassis. After that, install screw K. When installing the armrests, screws and screw sleeves are also required. For the 2018A office chair, materials also need to be prepared first, and the base casters installed. However, it is installed according to a video using screws H, gaskets K, and O. When installing the chassis, screws P and gaskets L are used. This shows that there are differences in the installation steps and required accessories among different office chair models, and installation should be carried out strictly in accordance with the installation instructions for the corresponding model.
Quality Issues
There are some quality issues with office chairs. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada recalled office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which could lead to falls. At that time, 12 reports had been received, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation's national supervision and random inspection of office chairs found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled the WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a fall risk. Seven reports had been received, with two people suffering minor injuries. These recalls and inspection results reflect that there are certain hidden quality risks in office chairs, and consumers should be cautious when purchasing and using them.
