Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities, and attention should be paid to quality, installation, and various details when purchasing.

Office Chair Quality Issues
Office chairs have certain quality hazards. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada recalled office chairs made in China due to the risk of backrest breakage, which could lead to falls. Twelve reports had been received, with ten people injured. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation found that 15 batches of products failed the inspection, with stability issues being prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled the WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China due to the risk of bolt failure, which could lead to falls. Seven reports had been received, with two people suffering minor injuries. These cases indicate that some office chairs have defects in structural strength and component reliability, which may pose safety hazards.
Differences in Installation Methods
The installation methods of office chairs vary by model. For example, the 1012A office chair requires the installation of base casters and seat armrests. During operation, screw C is used, screw D is installed on the inside, and screw E is placed into the washer and then inserted into the base. The 1011A office chair requires inserting AL screws and placing washers. When installing the seat armrests, they should be fixed first and then tightened, and other components should be fixed with screws. Before installation, carefully read the instruction manual or watch video tutorials to avoid damaging components or having an insecure installation due to improper operation.
Precautions for Purchase
- Load-bearing structure: The air pressure rod, chassis, and chair legs affect stability. Check the clear specifications and relevant inspection information to ensure they can bear the expected weight.
- Mesh fabric and seat cushion: Pay attention to the elasticity, tension, and edge treatment of the mesh fabric to avoid sagging or damage after long-term use. For sponge seat cushions, focus on density and support to prevent sagging and affect comfort.
- Moving parts: The armrests, reclining mechanism, and height adjustment structure should be adjustable smoothly, and the connections should be firm to avoid looseness or abnormal noises during use.
- After-sales support: Understand the warranty period, scope of consumable parts, and repair methods. Prioritize brands that offer long-term warranties and convenient after-sales services.
- Installation and accessories: Confirm the complexity of installation and whether the accessories are complete to avoid being unable to use them normally due to missing parts.
- User reviews: If there is no opportunity to test-sit, focus on reviews from different usage periods and pay attention to whether there are concentrated feedback on quality issues such as abnormal noises and sagging.
