Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities. There are various classifications, different models have different installation methods, and there are quality and safety issues.

Classification: OfficeMate categorizes office chairs into narrow and broad definitions. A narrow-definition office chair refers to a backrest chair used when a person is sitting at a desk for work. This type of chair mainly meets the basic sitting needs during daily office work, providing back support to reduce fatigue caused by prolonged sitting. A broad-definition office chair encompasses all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are typically used in the offices of senior corporate management. Their design places greater emphasis on comfort and luxury, with larger sizes and more abundant functions, such as adjustable height and tilt angles. Staff chairs, on the other hand, are used by ordinary employees and focus more on practicality and cost-effectiveness, meeting the basic functional requirements of daily office work.
Installation methods: The installation methods of office chairs vary depending on the model. For example, when installing the 1012A office chair, relevant materials need to be prepared. First, install the base casters, then the seat armrests. During the installation process, follow the video instructions to use screw C, install screw D on the inner side, and insert screw E into the base after placing it in a washer, among other steps. When installing the 1011A office chair, follow the video instructions to insert AL screws and place them in washers. When installing the seat armrests, first fix them and then tighten them. This indicates that when installing office chairs, it is essential to strictly follow the installation instructions for the specific model. Otherwise, the installation may not be secure, affecting the safety and lifespan of use.
Quality and safety: There are some quality issues with office chairs. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada initiated a recall of office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which poses a falling hazard. They had received 12 reports, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted a national supervision and inspection of office chairs and found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States initiated a recall of WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a falling hazard. They had received 7 reports, including 2 minor injuries. These incidents remind consumers to choose regular channels and brands with quality guarantees when purchasing office chairs and to pay attention to the product's safety performance indicators.
