Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities. There are various types with different installation methods, and there are also some quality issues.

Definition and Classification of Office Chairs
OfficeMate categorizes office chairs into two types: narrow and broad. Narrow office chairs refer to the backrest chairs used by people when sitting at a desk for work. These chairs mainly meet the basic sitting needs during daily office work and provide comfortable support for users. Broad office chairs cover all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are usually used in the offices of senior management and are designed with a greater emphasis on luxury and comfort. Staff chairs are widely used in the office areas of ordinary employees and place more emphasis on practicality and cost-effectiveness.
Installation Methods of Office Chairs
The installation methods of office chairs vary depending on the model. For example, when installing the 1011A office chair, follow the video instructions. First, insert the A L screws and place the gaskets, then install the seat armrests. Perform a preliminary fixation first, then tighten them, and finally use screws for firm fixation. The installation steps for the 2022A office chair are relatively more complex. First, prepare the materials required for installation, then install the base casters. Use screws J and K along with gasket L to install the chassis, and then install screw K. When installing the armrests, use screws and screw sleeves, and finally place the base.
Quality Issues of Office Chairs
The quality issues of office chairs cannot be ignored. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada recalled office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which posed a falling hazard. At that time, 12 reports had been received, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation found 15 batches of non-compliant products during the national supervision and inspection of office chairs, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled the WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China again because the bolts might fail, posing a falling hazard. Seven reports had been received, including two minor injuries. These incidents remind consumers to pay attention to the quality and safety of products when purchasing and using office chairs.
