Office Chair Threaded Accessories

Admin October 11, 2026

Common threaded accessories for office chairs mainly include hexagon socket screws, T-screws, high-strength cup-head hexagon socket screws, L-shaped transfer nuts, and pad-pressed patterned screws, among others. Different accessories vary in specifications and functions, and should be selected according to specific assembly requirements.

Hexagon socket screws are one of the most basic threaded accessories in office chair assembly. Their specifications are indicated by 'M + number' to represent the diameter, with common specifications including M3, M4, M8, etc. These screws are installed using a hexagon socket wrench, with a flat head, suitable for structures that require hidden screws or to withstand lateral forces, such as the connection between the chair back and the seat plate. Their advantage lies in the smooth surface after installation, which is less likely to scratch the user or clothing.

T-screws are mostly used for fixing the office chair base to the pneumatic rod, with typical specifications such as M10X300MM. Their heads are 'T'-shaped, allowing direct rotation by hand or tool without the need for an additional wrench, resulting in high installation efficiency. This design is suitable for components that require frequent adjustment or disassembly, such as the connection between the base and the pneumatic rod of an adjustable-height chair, ensuring structural stability while simplifying the operation process.

High-strength cup-head hexagon socket screws have a wider range of specifications, from M1.4 to M12. Their heads are cup-shaped, allowing for longer screw rods or increased contact area, suitable for structures that require high load-bearing capacity, such as the connection between the chair legs and the five-star base. These screws are usually made of alloy steel and undergo heat treatment to enhance tensile strength, meeting the mechanical requirements for long-term use in office chairs.

L-shaped transfer nuts and pad-pressed patterned screws are functional accessories. L-shaped transfer nuts are used in scenarios where the thread direction needs to be changed, such as converting vertical threads to horizontal threads to accommodate connections at different angles; pad-pressed patterned screws have rubber pads or metal washers on their heads, which can increase friction or distribute pressure, preventing the screws from loosening or damaging the contact surface, commonly used in the fixation of chair wheels to the chair legs.

When selecting threaded accessories, it is necessary to clarify the specification requirements based on the design drawings or instructions of the office chair to avoid structural looseness or damage due to mismatched sizes. At the same time, prioritize accessories that comply with national standards to ensure that the material strength and corrosion resistance meet safety regulations.
