Office Chair Textile Fabric
The commonly used textile fabrics for office chairs mainly include mesh fabric, leather, velvet fabric, as well as specific types such as elastic milk silk and sandwich mesh fabric. Different fabrics have differences in performance and applicable scenarios.

Mesh fabric is one of the most widely used office chair fabrics, with its core advantage being excellent breathability. Mesh fabric is usually woven from materials like polyester fibers, with a surface covered in fine holes that allow air to circulate freely. This characteristic prevents the accumulation of heat and moisture on the back and buttocks when sitting on a mesh office chair for a long time, effectively reducing the feeling of stuffiness and enhancing comfort. It is especially suitable for office scenarios that require prolonged sitting, such as for professionals like programmers and designers. Additionally, mesh fabric has a certain degree of elasticity, enabling it to deform moderately according to body pressure and provide some support.
Leather fabric is mainly characterized by abrasion resistance and easy cleaning. Natural leather or artificial leather has a smooth surface and a dense texture, making it less likely to be scratched by sharp objects and having a relatively long service life. In daily use, if it gets dusty or stained, it can be restored to cleanliness simply by wiping it gently with a damp cloth, resulting in low maintenance costs. Leather has a high-end texture that can add a sense of solemnity and professionalism to the office environment, so it is often used in places with high image requirements such as executive offices and conference rooms. However, leather has relatively poor breathability, and prolonged use in summer or high-temperature environments may make people feel stuffy.
Velvet fabric offers a soft and comfortable touch. Its surface is covered with a layer of fine fluff, providing a warm and enveloping feeling. It is suitable for use in relatively casual office scenarios or those with extremely high comfort requirements, such as creative studios and home office areas. However, velvet fabric is relatively difficult to clean. The fluff easily adsorbs dust and stains and is not easy to completely remove, requiring regular deep cleaning and maintenance. At the same time, velvet fabric has relatively weak abrasion resistance and should be kept away from sharp objects during use to avoid damaging the fabric.
In addition to the above common fabrics, elastic milk silk has the characteristics of being soft, smooth, breathable, and highly elastic, providing users with a comfortable sitting experience. Sandwich mesh fabric is composed of multiple layers, with the middle layer usually being breathable sponge or elastic material, further enhancing the fabric's support and breathability. It is suitable for office chairs with high requirements for both comfort and support.
