Office Chair Testing Lab
The office chair testing lab primarily conducts comprehensive testing on various performance indicators of office chairs, covering aspects such as testing items, scope, methods and standards, stability, caster durability, as well as testing environment and sample pre-treatment.

Testing Items: Office chair testing involves numerous specific items. Measurements related to the seat include height, width, and depth, as these dimensional parameters directly affect the user's comfort and sitting posture health. Measurements of backrest height, armrest height, and overall height are also essential, as they collectively determine whether the office chair can accommodate users of different heights and body types. The measurement of the base diameter is crucial for the stability of the chair placement, while the detection of the recline angle and seat tilt angle affects the user's posture adjustment during rest or work. Additionally, stability testing is a key focus, simulating the critical point of imbalance during real-world use. By applying standardized force values and setting positions, it tests whether the chair will tip over due to a shift in the center of gravity when leaning forward, backward, or sideways.
Testing Scope: The testing scope of the office chair testing lab is extensive, covering various types of office chairs, including swivel office chairs, fixed office chairs, height-adjustable office chairs, ergonomic chairs, etc. Regardless of the type of office chair, it must undergo rigorous testing to ensure its quality and performance meet the requirements.
Testing Methods and Standards: A variety of international and domestic standards are adopted, such as the GB/T 10357 series, QB/T 2280, EN 1335, ANSI/BIFMA X5.1, ISO series, etc. These standards conduct comprehensive testing on office chairs from multiple aspects, including dimensions, angles, stability, strength, durability, safety, functionality, materials, and the environment, ensuring that office chairs meet the corresponding quality requirements in all aspects.
Caster Durability Testing: For office chairs equipped with casters, caster durability testing is of utmost importance. This test simulates the rolling friction and impact loads during long-term pushing, detecting the wear and fatigue of the casters to ensure that they can still operate normally after prolonged use without affecting the overall performance of the office chair.
Testing Environment and Sample Pre-treatment: All tests are conducted under standard conditions of a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 50%. Samples need to be placed in a constant temperature and humidity chamber for 48 hours for pre-treatment to eliminate the influence of environmental factors on the test results and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test results.
