Office Chair Test Dummy
There are mainly two types of office chair test dummies: the Chair Measurement Dummy (CMD) and the Seat Thermal Manikin.

Chair Measurement Dummy (CMD): This is a testing device specifically designed to evaluate the ergonomics and comfort of office chairs. It simulates the characteristics of human posture during prolonged sitting in an office environment. Through precise mechanical structures and sensor systems, it can replicate various sitting postures and movements on office chairs. The design of this dummy aims to assess whether the office chair design adheres to ergonomic principles, such as the supportiveness of the backrest, the comfort of the seat cushion, and the height and angle of the armrests, to meet the needs of the human body during extended sitting. By using the Chair Measurement Dummy (CMD) for testing, manufacturers can optimize the design of office chairs, enhancing their comfort and ergonomic performance, thereby providing users with a healthier and more comfortable office environment.
Seat Thermal Manikin: This dummy is primarily used to evaluate the thermal comfort and humidity management performance of seats in automobiles, trucks, office chairs, and airplane seats. It is developed based on the SAE J826 HPM-II human body model and is compatible with existing automotive seat H-point positioning methods, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of testing. For passive seats, the Seat Thermal Manikin can accurately measure the exchange of heat and humidity, assessing the thermal comfort and humidity management capabilities of the seats during prolonged use. For heated or ventilated seats, it evaluates based on actual energy transfer rather than relying solely on surface temperature, while also considering realistic sweat levels for more accurate measurements. By precisely simulating the thermal physiological characteristics of the human body, the Seat Thermal Manikin provides quantifiable testing evidence for the thermal comfort and safety of seats, helping manufacturers improve seat design and enhance the user's seating experience.
