Office Chair Teaching Guide
The teaching on office chairs covers two core aspects: functional adjustments and installation. Details are as follows:

Functional Adjustment Teaching
Different office chairs have varying adjustment methods, but most offer multi-dimensional adjustability.
1. Rocking Function
For office chairs with a rocking feature, the rocking tray is designed with a single-lever control mechanism. Users simply need to pull the lever on the tray upward and then release it to unlock the rocking mode, allowing the chair to rock back and forth. Pulling the lever upward again locks the function, returning the chair to a stationary state. This design is achieved through mechanical lever principles, offering simple operation and strong stability.
2. Armrest Adjustment
Armrests support three-dimensional dynamic adjustments:
- Height Adjustment: By using the buckle or knob beneath the armrest, users can adjust the height up or down to fit different desk heights.
- Forward and Backward Movement: A slide rail is installed at the connection point between the armrest support and the seat cushion, allowing users to adjust the distance between the armrest and their body by pushing the armrest.
- 360-Degree Rotation: The armrest surface is designed with dual rotating joints, enabling users to press the button on the joint and rotate the armrest surface to meet multi-angle support needs (such as typing, reading, or resting scenarios).
3. Core Functional Modules (Taking the C500 Second Generation as an Example)
- Seat Height and Depth Adjustment: The height is controlled by a gas lift beneath the seat cushion, and the depth (sliding the seat cushion forward and backward) is adjusted by a knob on the side.
- Recline and Backrest Adjustment: A lever beneath the backrest unlocks the recline angle, with some models supporting stepless locking. The height of the backrest can be adjusted by sliding the buckle up and down.
- Headrest Adjustment: The headrest support allows for vertical lifting and angle tilting to fit the neck support needs of users of different heights.
- Lumbar Support Adjustment: The lumbar support adjusts the support force through an elastic device or manual knob to relieve lower back pressure.
- Footrest Adjustment: The hidden footrest can be extended or retracted, working in conjunction with the recline function to enable a lunch break mode.
- Gliding Function: The chassis design allows the chair to slide back and forth within a small range, reducing resistance when getting up.
Installation Teaching
Office chairs should be assembled in order to ensure structural stability:
1. Basic Component Installation
- Chair Wheels and Five-Star Base: Insert each of the 5 chair wheels into the assembly holes at the bottom of the five-star base, ensuring the buckles are fully engaged.
- Gas Lift Fixation: Flip the five-star base and vertically insert the thicker end of the gas lift into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring the bottom is tightly fitted to the base.
2. Seat Cushion and Chassis Assembly
- Chassis Positioning: Place the chassis on the back of the seat cushion, align the screw holes, and use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns (avoid excessive force on one side to prevent misalignment), then tighten them one by one.
- Gas Lift Connection: Align the bottom hole of the assembled seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and press down vertically until fully inserted into the chassis.
3. Backrest and Armrest Installation
- Backrest Initial Fixation: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest installation slots on both sides of the seat cushion, insert them, and use 2 C-screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest support.
- Backrest Locking: Align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion support, and use D-screws to lock them with dual wrenches (ensure the screws on both sides are tightened simultaneously to avoid structural tilt).
- Armrest Insertion: Press the button beneath the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the armrest support holes respectively. A "click" sound indicates the buckle is in place.
4. Headrest and Detail Adjustments
- Headrest Positioning: Place the headrest vertically in the middle of the top of the backrest and press the headrest installation area to make it fit the backrest.
- Headrest Fixation: Use 2 E-screws to pass through the headrest fixing buckles and screw them into the reserved holes on the backrest, pre-tighten them first, and then fully tighten them.
- Final Inspection: Confirm that all screws are not loose, rock the chair to test structural stability, and adjust all functions to their initial states.
By following a systematic functional adjustment and standardized installation process, the ergonomic advantages of office chairs can be fully utilized, enhancing comfort and safety during use.
