Target Customers for Office Chairs

Admin October 10, 2026

The target customers for office chairs are mainly divided into two categories: corporate procurement managers and individual users, with specific needs varying based on usage scenarios and group characteristics.

Corporate Procurement Managers

Corporate procurement managers (such as administrative or corporate executives) are one of the primary purchasers of office chairs, with their core needs centered around enhancing office efficiency and cost control.

  • Types of Enterprises: This includes small and medium-sized enterprises, internet companies, financial institutions, etc. These companies typically need to equip their employees' workstations with office chairs to support daily office needs. For example, internet companies may place greater emphasis on the flexibility and ergonomic design of chairs to accommodate the long hours of desk work by programmers and designers; financial institutions, on the other hand, may prioritize brand reputation and durability to align with their professional image and long-term usage requirements.
  • Procurement Considerations: Cost-effectiveness, durability, after-sales service, and brand reputation are key factors. Corporate procurement is usually conducted in bulk, making price sensitivity high. At the same time, products are required to withstand frequent use to reduce replacement costs. Additionally, comprehensive after-sales service (such as warranty and repair response times) and brand reputation are also significant factors influencing procurement decisions.

Individual Users

Individual users place greater emphasis on comfort, health features, and personalized design, and can be further divided into the following groups:

  • Sedentary Office Workers: Such as white-collar workers, designers, programmers, etc., who, due to the nature of their work, need to maintain a seated position for long periods and have higher requirements for the support and breathability of chairs to alleviate fatigue caused by prolonged sitting.
  • Health-Conscious Home Users: Including remote workers and students, who are concerned about the protective functions of chairs for the lumbar and cervical spine, such as adjustable lumbar supports and breathable mesh designs, to prevent health issues caused by prolonged sitting.
  • Special Needs Groups: Such as those with lumbar or cervical spine discomfort, who require professional ergonomic chairs (with adjustable headrests, armrests, seat depth, etc.) to improve their sitting posture and reduce physical stress.
  • Freelancers and Remote Workers: These users place greater emphasis on the comfort and aesthetic design of chairs to match home or shared office environments, and may also have additional requirements for portability (such as foldability and lightweight design).
  • Gamers: Although not a traditional office scenario, gamers have high requirements for the comfort (such as thickened cushions and reclining functions) and design (such as gaming-style aesthetics) of chairs. Some high-end office chairs are also favored for their compatibility with gaming scenarios.
