Office Chair Surround Shooting

Admin October 16, 2026

Office chair surround shooting can be achieved using the handheld/rotating chair method, where the phone is held in hand while sitting on a rotating office chair or fixed to a tripod, and then rotated uniformly to complete the surround shooting. This method is suitable for desktop still objects or small to medium-sized objects.

Specific Operation Methods

  1. Equipment Preparation

    • Phone: It should have video shooting capabilities. It is recommended to enable the anti-shake mode (such as electronic anti-shake or optical anti-shake) to reduce image shake.
    • Rotating office chair: Choose a chair that can rotate smoothly 360 degrees to avoid stuttering or abnormal noises that may affect the smoothness of shooting.
    • Tripod (optional): If you need to fix the phone, you should equip yourself with a lightweight tripod with adjustable angles to ensure that the gimbal can move synchronously with the rotation of the chair.
  2. Shooting Steps

    • Handheld shooting: Hold the phone firmly, sit on the rotating chair, and adjust the distance between your body and the object being photographed (usually 1-2 meters is ideal). When shooting, keep your arms stable and rotate the chair uniformly around your waist to ensure that the center of the image is always aimed at the target.
    • Tripod-fixed shooting: Fix the phone on the tripod and adjust the gimbal to a horizontal position. Place the tripod at the center of the rotating chair. When shooting, rotate the chair slowly so that the gimbal drives the phone to uniformly circle around the object. This method is suitable for scenarios that require higher stability (such as macro shooting or low-light environments).
  3. Parameter Settings

    • Resolution and frame rate: It is recommended to choose 1080P or 4K resolution, and adjust the frame rate according to needs (for example, 24fps is suitable for a cinematic feel, while 30fps or 60fps is suitable for smooth actions).
    • Focus mode: Enable continuous autofocus (AF-C) to ensure that the object remains clear during rotation.
    • Exposure compensation: Adjust the exposure according to the ambient light to avoid overexposure or underexposure. If the light is uneven, you can enable the HDR mode to balance highlights and shadows.

Applicable Scenarios and Precautions

  • Applicable scenarios: 360-degree display of desktop still objects (such as figurines, stationery) and small to medium-sized objects (such as potted plants, electronic products), suitable for e-commerce product images, short video creation, or teaching demonstrations.
  • Precautions:
    • The rotation speed should be uniform to avoid stuttering caused by sudden changes in speed.
    • Keep the background as simple as possible to avoid distracting elements.
    • If using a tripod, ensure that it is firmly connected to the chair to prevent it from tipping over during rotation.
    • After shooting, you can add transition effects or adjust colors through video editing software (such as CapCut, Premiere) to enhance the quality of the final product.
